Does anyone like her character a lot more when she didn't solve 90% of the cases. What I mean is. Does anyone like Garcia better in S1,2 and early 3 more than later seasons.
I just love Garcia, she’s funny as hell and super bubbly.

In season 6 episode 4, Hotch tells Garcia: “When you applied for this job, you gave me your resume in homemade pink stationery. I realized then that you were unique.” >!However, in season 9, we get the backstory of Penelope, and learn that she did not actually wish to join the FBI, but was given an ultimatum: join the BAU or go to prison. Was this maybe just an oopsie by the directors or did she legally need to hand in a resume? It would be kinda useless considering they already knew everything about her, and Hotch would have already met her at that point. You would think he would’ve known right as they began speaking that she was different?!< Thoughts?
Kirtsen as Penelope Garcia is INTOLERABLE! She would never in real life be that smart of a computer programmer and a genius hacker. Her goofiness is so cringe and her jokes never hit. SO frustrating! I am truly trying to enjoy the show. Matthew Gray Gubler’s try-hard acting (trying to be BBC’s Sherlock so bad) is bad enough, Penelope’s character might push me over the edge!
Update: Gubler is torrible and got so much better as time went on. Pretty decent actor, if I say so myself.

okay reddit I need some help. In season 13 ep 20, Garcia goes to california to support her youngest step brother while he speaks at the parole hearing of the man that killed his father and step mother (Garcias mother and stepfather). Garcia was 18 and her youngest brother 13 at the time. It ends up that she is the one that speaks at the hearing and changes her mind to convincing the board to release him. okay so at the end of the episode she goes to the grave and clearly says GARCIA on the headstone.
Now this is where i get confused. I feel like I remember an episode where someone questions why her last name is Garcia but shes not latino. And her response is something along the lines of "Garcia, as in the wonderful family who adopted me when my parents were killed by a drunk driver."
so if she was 18 when they got killed and her mother was already married to her step father and her last name wouldve already been Garcia. so why the comment of the adoptive family being the Garcias? why was she adopted at all? She was already 18 when it happened.
I need help figuring this out because its been bothering me for weeks.
I'm almost done with season 5 now and I absolutely love the friendship between Morgan and Garcia. They're my favorite relationship in the show so far. Does anyone know how they got to be such close friends? Is there some kind of background story to it?

First putting the agents lives in danger by playing video games at work, which got Elle shot. And now she’s telling people that cases are priorities when they arent? Does she know where she works? I really dislike her character.

Since the beginning of season 12, Penelope and Luke have had a kind of sexual attraction between the two. Perhaps much more than Morcia has had in all 11 previous seasons.
Although the writers of Criminal Minds did not agree to create a romance between the two because according to them it would hinder the progress of the series, it was predestined to happen anyway.
Episode S12E03. Penelope worries about what Luke thinks about her drinking and he says no. We see, however, a worried look of him. He's afraid she's going to get hurt. And he can't even think about her hurt. Total passion.
Episode where Penelope meets Roxy, Luke's dog. She gets down with all the love and Luke smiles like he's a fool. That's because he's delighted with the scene in front of him.
In the next episode, we see Penelope taking several gifts for Roxy and Luke is reluctant not to tell the truth about the pink coat she bought for Roxy. Instead, he says it's the cookies.
Finally, a series of smiles on the part of the two and Luke trying to figure out a way to break Penelope's plush armor. Clearly the man loves her, but he's a complete coward.
Did anyone else notice that these similar characters basically had the same backstory episode? -goth hackers who went blonde -former hacktivist turned good guys -evil hacker ex boyfriend uses their code -EHEBF comes after them -defeat them

Since being diagnosed in February, and gaining more knowledge about autism, I have started to see TV and film characters in a different light. I always related a lot to Penelope Garcia and her little quirks so now I wonder if it's because she is also autistic.

I used to hate Penelope Garcia's character on the show but from around season 7 I started really loving her & I love how in the midst of all the seriousness she always succeeds to make the atmosphere a little more happy!!

Hey guys I just started watching the season, got to season 2, about to finish it no spoilers So I am in love with what Penelope Garcia / the girl on the computer is doing. I would love to have that as a career or something similar. I am currently a CS major but don’t know if that’s the right route. If someone has an idea what the job name is not sure if it’s actually technical analyst and what I should study in college to have a chance at a job like that. Any information would be appreciated because I’ve always dreamt of a job like this I know obviously not to base something out of a tv show but I’m pretty sure it’s somehow related to real life. So when I was a lot younger I used to dress very similarly to the character Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds. Back when I was a size six or so. Now, I'm between a 12 and a 14 (U.S. sizes) and I have NO IDEA where to get clothes like she wears. Any ideas or advice? Thanks!
