Big recommendation for their studio albums but the magic contained in Live Europaturnén MCMXCVII makes it perfectly, crystal clear what Blur must have been thinking when they went off to Iceland.
Between Built To Spill, Pavement, and Blur I could be a perfectly content fellow for at least a year or three.
The point of this post? Nothing important. Pavement? Fuckin' A. Careful listening and you can hear exactly where Blur borrowed and - dare I say - Blur may have influenced a touch. Arguable. If you're into a real challenge try listening to the Pavement for a few hours and follow it up with Blur's 13 and see what the hell influence means. Or just listen to Blur's 13 because you should.

I don't know why, but lately I've been listening to it a ton, and it's just striking me as the perfect goodbye song for Pavement's discography. It's the perfect blend of lighthearted and that slight pavement emotional twang. I dunno, I just love the song. Not sure if I'm alone, I know opinions on Terror Twilight are always mixed.

Radiohead’s OK Computer (1997)
>Summer 1997. I was in a very strange place at this time. I was more famous than I’d ever been due to the recent release of Ridin’ Dirty. I was also in the first year of the relationship with my now-wife Queenie. So there was a lot of professional as well as personal stress on me. I couldn’t find anything to relax me. Then one night, watching MTV, I saw the “Paranoid Android” video. Suddenly, for some reason, this calm washed over me. It seemed like this song was speaking to me. I bought the album the next day and everything about it made sense. While very dense and layered at times, it was still very melodic and easy to listen to. And a lot of what they spoke about then still resonates to this day. So even now, when life starts moving too fast, OK Computer is still there to help slow it down for me.

Quasimoto’s The Unseen (2000)

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
