Im a year too late to comment on older posts but Omg... I was LOVING Monica and Jess love boys but I got to part 6 with patti stanger ~ millionaire matchmaker ~ and I thought she was sooo f***ing annoying.

I am a lot like Monica... I don’t date... I don’t really like people.... I don’t have much sex ... and this patti just came off as such a know it all and I felt like she was judging Monica so much. Like OMG YOURE 32 AND HAVENT HAD A BOYFRIEND.. what is wrong with YOU. I felt like all the other episodes they actually listened to Monica and Jess and talked through everything but she just needed to like shit all over her.

I hate people who are like that and then feel the need to generalize all women like how she’s like “women in their 30s do this and that.. u should be doing that”

Anyone else not like this episode or did you think that this “tough love” was helpful?

Anyone familiar with Patti or the show? I watched this show as a kid but now I’m listening to her on a podcast and she is SO entertaining and totally FDS! I wish she had her own podcast.

OK I listened to this podcast just because Peter was on it. Peter had some good things to say but he definitely still seems very concerned with the burden of being in the spotlight. He mentioned how if he dates now he's concerned for all the criticism he and whoever his date is would get. He needs to get over that hump and just say fuck it because the criticism will come regardless!

Also, I used to kind of like Patti when she had her matchmaker show but holy shit she seems so out of touch. Was she always this sexist against women?!? She made a comment about women and their periods that I think even Dean was like Uhhhh... He seemed to be biting his tongue during her while segment just to humor her. I was cringing.

Anyone else have thoughts that listened?

Another reason why Olivia is killing it and why she has the best podcast. She had Patti Stanger on again and it was a two hour episode where they discussed Olivia’s love life, insecurities, mistakes when dating and some other BN couples. The audio was a little crappy, but if you have the time please take a listen. It’s so good. Here are some highlights since we haven’t had a long discussion and we must.

• Olivia hasn’t had an orgasm yet (they discussed it on their first episode together). She still hasn’t bought a vibrator and she hasn’t had a guy help her with that either. She’s watching porn though.

• She dated a guy for 3 months who made her drive 45 minutes to see her, wouldn’t make out with her, told her he used to be horrible to women, sounded commitment-phobic and not as into her but she doesn’t get it.

• Patti told her she can’t do everything for a guy and she can’t change him. A man needs to come ready and not be a project she needs to change. People don’t change and she can’t choose an asshole or an adolescent type. She told her not to drive far away when you start dating a man and not make him too comfortable. He has to work for it. She says that everyone sleeping around is screwing people who want serious relationships and that women shouldn’t just go home at 11 PM for a booty call because men get too comfortable.

• Olivia broke down crying because Patti told her she seemed like she didn’t feel worthy of a good man. This was sad and unexpected 😞. Patti told her she’s super hot and needs to acknowledge her self worth. She told her she needs a MAN who takes charge. Not someone she has to chase or change. She needs someone who puts her in her place and is more experienced than her.

• Patti said Jared texted Ashley a lot when they filmed Million Dollar Matchmaker. She told her he was playing with her heart and leading her on and that’s why she can’t move on. He plays with her head a lot. She says Ashley also has issues with self-worth but she hooked her up with cool guys on the show and she didn’t want to go out with them because Jared got in her head 🤦🏻‍♀️ So yeah, for those of you who said he leads her on you were right.

• She said the successful couples on the show are those where the man worked hard to earn the woman. Like Bryan and Evan. She said Evan had to win over Carly and now they’re very happy. And Rachel picked the right guy because Bryan came ready for her and Peter was unsure. She says she wants Peter to be her project be

Patti is so hard to listen to... She's incredibly dismissive of Vanessa saying she likes to be the one who chases. According to Patti, the man should always be the alpha and the woman the beta, because men need to be the alpha and women have and raise the children, etc.

Then she talks about astrology and says that Ashley and Jared were fated to be together. She also says she knew Jared liked Ashley when she was on her show, but that Ashley had to date someone else for Jared to get jealous and realize he wanted her.

Patti's best quote: "The penis does the chasing" (because it goes inside the vagina).

I read she was going to produce a show on WE TV but IDK what show, or if it happened. I know she broke up w her boyfriend too. But that's it. As much as I can't stand her, I'm nosey and would like to know what her status is. Did she stay skinny? Did she stop wearing stuff that gives her camel toe? Do people still take her dating advice?

Best ep was Dina Lohan, how fuckin awkward was THAT shit!? I'm currently watching Dina again on the family therapy show, that woman is a shit show.

Omg who else just saw this? She's promoting her premiere next month. She's listing who's gonna be on: "... and Kelly 'Bessimun' from the housewives ... Kelly has a warp going on in her brain that Bethenny ruined her life" and then they show Bethenny clips. WHAT THE FUCK? Wow.

Then "we've got Courtney 'Starden', which ya know ya gotta throw one train wreck in". It's Stodden, ya slob. And wow at calling her a train wreck.

Then the host asks her to match famous people up so she throws out names. Slobbi thinks Brad should be with Jen Garner, Halle should be with Shamar Moore, DiCaprio should be with Charlize, Bieber should be with Zendaya, and Katy Perry should be "with a nice Jewish boy", Drake or Zach Efron.

I can't stand this woman. Why do they keep giving her shows?

Thank god it's not on Bravo, though! The title is changed to Milliondollar Matchmaker and it premieres on We TV Friday night. She is one of my least favorites to come out of the Bravo grist mill. Just yuck.

The View said that she and her fiancé have broken up. Any thoughts? Does anyone still watch that show when it's on?
