A list of puns related to "Pat Boone"
The story goes that in 1967 on English psychedelic band The Pink Floyd's first visit to the United States, they were to appear on the American television show, The Pat Boone Show. They were to lip sync to their most recently released single "Apples and Oranges". However, their frontman and guitarist and lead songwriter at the time Syd Barrett was starting to suffer from supposed massive usage of LSD and highly possible schizophrenia. Instead of miming to the track as he was supposed to do, he just stood still and didnβt do anything, and bassist Roger Waters ended up quickly miming instead. Once the song was over, host Pat Boone came on to interview the band, and when he asked Syd a question, Syd just stared at him and didn't say anything, much like how he acted during a few of their concerts at this time. Now, the footage of this is supposedly lost, and the closest thing we have to it is a performance on the show American Bandstand, and many people believe this is the performance that is mentioned above, but this is not the case. If possible, share your thoughts on where this footage may be, any leads in a search for it, and if at all possible, any memories of seeing this televised performance back in the day.
Iβm trying to remember the name of a song that briefly samples Pat Booneβs cover of Speedy Gonzales. At the beginning of the song thereβs the sound of a radio flipping, and you can hear: βaway from tannery rowβ
I think the song title also had strawberry in it but I could be wrong.
Itβs largely or enticing instrumental, and I couldnβt find anything about it anywhere else, based on this narrow criteria I know about it.
Thanks!
Very Violent fellow
