A list of puns related to "Paranormal Activity (film series)"
Is there any other paranormal activity fans out there? I personally love the film series and think the connected story is amazing even though it does have its plot holes, but I want to know everyoneβs opinion on it, and if they dislike those movies whatβs the reason for it? And if you do enjoy the series like me, what is the reason for that? Thankyou all in advance!
Rewatching the first and was curious to see which one is your guysβ favorite. (Assuming weβre are all excluding sequels after the 4th bc theyβre garbage)
Iβve seen so many found footage movies / βmockumentariesβ
Iβve found some pretty decent ones. I just havenβt been able to find any new awesome projects. Please post any movies you think are scary. Especially found footage/mock style films. I also enjoy sci-fi / sci-fi horror films. Thanks!!
A lot of people really give this series shit, but I think its so much fun with friends and pretty haunting watching alone at night.
Anyway to my point what do you guys think is the best movie in the series?
One of the most terrifying and real fear of nature paranormal is ."Paranormal activity" series films It shows you how deep the mystery and horror that if a person encounters, he won't be back intact. So these movies are the best in terms of real horror.
Like, it's a step-mom, a dad, a teenage daughter in her "rebellious" ages, all with a new born. And the parents are still obviously wildly in love, the daughter loves and respects the shit out of her dad and jokes around with him, she is not only friendly but considers the step mom as a parental figure and jokes around with her too, like....I know it's a horror movie and all but honestly it's a really good and refreshing example from the usual stereotypical "husband hates wife, teenage daughter is unruly and hormonal,, step-mom is an evil witch" kinda deal. Have seen the movie many many times but just saw it again now and that was honestly the biggest thing I took away from it.
Edit: If anyone actually has any other recommendations with the same sorta thing, please lemme know and throw down a comment with the movie name
I liked the first 3 Paranormal Activity films a lot, but never saw anything that followed. And I often forget there's one set in Tokyo.
BUT, it's not one I've seen mentioned, like....ever. Nor have I seen it available on any streaming service. Anyone ever check it this obscure entry in the series?
Thanks so much for your questions today! Don't miss the return of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch tonight at 10/9c on The HISTORY Channel.

This literally just happened and I'm kinda freaked the fuck out.
I'm sitting in my room watching Netflix and the next episode is loading. My room has been shut for the last 5 hours. The screen sort of blacks out (loading red circle) and the audio is going. That's when I notice what looks like a huge crack in my TV in the top right corner. It looks like a huge white fingerprint that held tight and fractured the screen. That wasn't there 10 seconds ago.
A moth flies out of nowhere from behind me. My back is against the wall and my bedroom door is closed. I hear my dog making a choking and growling sound in the hallway. I glimpse at the TV and the middle is a blueish colour that fades to black and the crack is still in the TV.
I go out to check on my dog, the dog is happy and fine. It comes into my bedroom and I go to the kitchen to throw out a waterbottle. The basement door that is usually closed is open. I close it.
I come back to my room and the TV is completely black but also lit? The crack and fingerprint are still there. I go to make my bed and notice that my closet door is open. I finish making my bed and the TV turns itself back on and the volume is incredibly high. The white fingerprint and crack are gone. I close the closet door sit on my bed and I wrote this out.
I cannot express how creepy this is.
It started of a very promising films and the idea was fresh when it was a new phase of found footage. The biggest let down of the film was * The repetitiveness of how the spirit attacks you after day 15 lol. *Also the ending of the whole saga was a let down by the 5th film and The fourth part felt to me to be the lamest of all, how ever i did enjoy Part 3 for it depth and for being a better film in general. Ill also give props to part (the marked ones) for being different and showing that how all this is connected on a larger scale with alot of people involved indirectly. The paranormal series has had its ups and mainly downs. But which one is your fav? Love to see your opinion. Bless :)
Has anyone else experienced anything paranormal or unexplainable while working at the Hut? Iβm a manager and I help out between a couple different stores and every single one iβve been to always has stories.
Apart from constantly hearing the radio going, hearing people talk that arenβt there, and seeing people walk by my while at make table when no one is even there, hereβs my two main experiences:
I was opening one morning and it was just me and one driver. My driver was at the front of the store folding boxes and I was at Wingstreet (back of our store) filling the sauces. Thereβs a gap between our wingstreet table and the fryers so they DO NOT touch in any way. We keep our extra bowls and wing boxes on top of the fryer. Out of literally no where, one of the bowls came flying off the fryer and hit me then slid halfway across the floor. I know for a fact I did not bump the fryer, nor did anything even touch it to make it do that. They werenβt even stacked in a weird way.
My second major experience was when I was at make table with my insider who was telling me how she swears she just saw one of our other employees walk right past her and they werenβt even working that day. I then started to tell her that sheβs not the only one and how a lot of us have experienced that while working here and I started telling my bowl story. We ALWAYS have our radio on to fill the awkward silence and have never had any issues with it. While we were talking, my insider noticed the radio went dead silent, but it was still on. Right when she pointed it out to me, it went right back to the radio station it was on. The radio has never done that before. It only decided to go silent when I started talking about our storeβs ghost.
I genuinely feel that if we really do have a ghost, he isnβt harmful in any way, he just thinks heβs funny and likes to mess with us.
Let alone this morning when I was opening (I get there at 8am and the next employee doesnβt come in until 1030/11am), I went to the bathroom and I hear this very distinct voice that didnβt sound like it was any of my employees and they just went βhelloooo?β and it sounded like something was being dragged outside the door. I sat in there for another 10 minutes terrified, but when I finally came out, there was absolutely no one there with me.
Iβd love to hear about anything that you guys have experienced while working at a Pizza Hut, and or any workplace in general
After bringing my moms ashes home ive been having some activity in my house. The most notable is a gallon jug moving to the opposite end of the table. We haven't experienced anything before we brought home her ashes. Could this be my moms spirit or could it be another spirit attracted by her ashes?
Admittedly, I always used to be one of those snobs who went after the Paranormal Activity series for making found-footage oversaturated after the success of the first film, but after taking some time this week to watch the first two movies in the series I can admit that I was wrong for putting the blame on the series. So far I'm a big fan of the movies, and I appreciate how there seems to be a linear story being told, something that I did not expect as I figured it would be a 'new family, new haunting' type story for each film. I can see why the series became so popular, and while I am aware that the reviews for the rest of them is hit or miss (except for 3, which excites me), it's fair to say that I unfairly judged the series.
Iβm censored years old and went through a lot of paranormal activityβs that are happening more often recently and wanted to make this post to share my experiences.
I really like the ongoing story in this series of movies. Pretty scary in my opinion. The antagonist is pretty damn malevolent. I hope they make more. I'd really like to see the Coven seriously confronted and attacked. I want to see the Church get involved. They should be aware of it since in the last movie a priest was told what was going on and tried to help them.
There are a lot of questions and loose ends though which bothers me. For example, the character Randy in the third movie is attacked by the demon and leaves and we never see him again. Considering what happened to him he should be able to figure out what happened to his friend and reported it to the Church or someone. Also, in the third movie Lois is apparently part of the Coven and allows her own daughter to be killed. This is pretty crazy and never really explored more.
The 5th film is probably my favorite. It felt like a real group of friends and real family to me. I found it really sad when Jesse went down the house to save his little doggy and then the witches ambushed him. I don't understand exactly what they did to him next. Because it doesn't show you. I'm guessing they completed the final ritual or whatever and he was possessed. I really liked seeing his grandmother and friends try to save him. It appeared that it worked but then apparently it didn't. This confused me.
I really like how Arturo and his buddy get their guns and decide to 'take these bitches out' lol. I liked seeing the evil Coven witches brought down a peg. Though it looks like he only killed a few and then we never see Arturo again. Another off screen death I assume. Jesse's dad and sister and grandmother survived I think. So you would think they would go to the Church and tell them what happened. They knew at least a little bit of what was going on. Also, when the group of friends finds that phone number in Oscar's bedroom and meets with her. I didn't understand that. Where did that girl come from? Who is she? Why does she know everything about the Midwives coven?
I didn't really understand this scene at the end of the 4th film: "Hector enters the living room and sees Katie going downstairs to the kitchen. After unsuccessfully attempting to get her attention, Katie turns around to see Hector and screams for Micah, who assumes Hector is an intruder and tackles him, but Katie violently stabs him to death with a kitchen knife."
In the 6th film Ghost Dimension it was nice to see the characters fully figure out and u
... keep reading on reddit β‘Many people consider The Blair Witch Project to be the βgold standardβ when it comes to found footage horror movies. But I canβt for the life of me see why. It wasnβt scary, it was boring, and it made me seasick with all the jerky camera movements. Whereas, PA had a great story, it was acted well, and I was so intrigued by what the demon was going to do and if it would show itself. Less definitely was more! I dare you to say otherwise! But be nice, my gf just broke up with me!
I think PA is a pretty mediocre franchise overall but I was really impressed by MO and think itβs by far the most competently made installment. Shame how underrated it is. The infusion of Mexican culture/folklore was refreshing, the characters felt three-dimensional and the director was an absolute pro at building suspense and creating a genuine sense of atmosphere (no other director in the series comes close)
Iβm rewatching the movies and..what a fucking asshole. I just needed to release this energy somewhere. She honestly sucks in every way possible. Fuck her for real.
Since Iβve seen the majority of the films except Tokyo night wouldnβt it be weird that Katie visited Japan for no reason at all except that she just so happens to have a random car crash with her future target. Well Iβm sure many people who have seen the film series know about the magic aspect of the series so what if Katie was on a trip to meet with a hidden group of members from her Grandmaβs coven that lived in Japan especially Tokyo during ww2. The only other film that has magic in the series aside from 3 and 4 is the marked ones and itβs also set in another country aka Mexico and I suspect the solo witch in that film is a really distant member of the coven mentioned previously. My current assumption is that she is descended one of the members and grew up learning about the coven because in the Marked Ones she only focuses on the main character and his friends aside from the visitor she had during the spying part in the film. So it might or might not be a stretch to say that Katie and her grandmaβs coven have ties to specific countries.
It might or might not be true but from what Iβve read on Wikipedia about Tokyo night there seems to be absolutely no reason except for the crash and target.
P.S. I suggest that to have further information and insight on the subject try looking up Tokyo night film or paranormal activity film franchise on Wikipedia.
I watched Haunting of Bly Manor and Hill House and I loved them! Do you guys know any similar movies, but the twist I am looking for is where the situations are rationalized at the end?
So who's actually finding these tapes? The franchise never explains this. Especially part 5, who found the footage? I mean we're all supposedly watching "found footage" right? So who's leaking/releasing them? Is it a group of amateur detectives, paranormal investigators, law enforcement,Β The Government?...Β Who???
As great as the scientific community has been and all the researches they have done throughout history, there are many things that science can't explain including paranormal activity. Science in its current form is still highly flaw and unproven. There are still so many things beyond our understanding, most of it occurring on our own planet.
Just seeing if anyone has actually gone there and experienced anything? The videos on YouTube (there are a ton) are not very compelling. But the plantation has a very interesting history.
A few weeks ago, when I decided to go on a tour of the Old Charleston jail in Charleston, SC (itβs literally called that, Iβve researched for other names) I had an experience I cannot explain. I am a nanny (23F) and had the opportunity to accompany my employers on a trip. The evenings were my own to explore and despite being a little nervous because I never really travel alone, I decided to be adventurous. Barely 15 minutes into the tour the tour guide tells us the infamous story of βLaviniaβ, the demented innkeeper woman that trapped, robbed, and killed men. She was subsequently hung at the jail in her wedding dress and still exists as a vengeful spirit on the grounds who is known to scratch people (ooooo spooky). As heβs telling us this story my head and neck are getting hot, and I mean burning HOT. My neck starts to furiously burn/tingle and I become so woozy I ask the tour guide to point me towards a bathroom. He looks at my neck and asks me if I had a dark red mark on my neck before the tour. Looking in the bathroom mirror I couldnβt believe what I saw. A scratch, almost the perfect size of a womanβs finger nail was raised on my neck. I had just been in the bathroom before the tour and this was a very clear, distinctive mark that was not there before. The tour guide took a picture and even said that it was the most prominent one he has seen (Iβm also very pale tho lol). The craziest part was, the mark just kept getting hotter, redder, and increasingly more painful as the tour went on. As if βLaviniaβ or someone else was continuing to bother me throughout the tour. By the next morning the mark was almost completely faded into a pale pink line on my collarbone.
Now for the part thatβs really been bothering me...a little backstory that I think might be related. Last year, I had a severe medical emergency and it was the closest I have ever been to death. At only 23 this just really shook up myself and the whole family. Prior to this event when visiting supposedly haunted locations or going on ghost tours I felt hardly anything...maybe goosebumps or the hairs on the back of my neck standing up because of βnegative energyβ at most. However, this was my first ghost tour since and during my entire visit at this Charleston jail I felt constant energy and this time it was emotionally jarring/torturous. After the scratch, it felt like I was being confronted with that life changing moment over and over, even though the stories being told were clearly about peop
