Hey folks, I just watched the gmod build video with the fall guys. There Ben and Zylus talked about the best game mode in GTA I really wanted to rewatch these rounds. Those where they had to land the parachute car on a platform to get points. Does somebody know the video titels by any chance?
when I was around 6-8 years old (2010-12) I downloaded an fps game in which i couldn't get past the first level.
and the only things that I remember is at the launch there was a video where some guys had a shootout and there were some super soldiers with robo-suits on.
then in the main menu before starting the game you could set the difficulty from easy to normal-hard-extreme(?) and the 3d model of a soldier would go from a normal guy to more roboty-even more roboty-super soldier robot.
then in the mission you would land with some kind of squad near a palm and sometimes you or A.I. could get stuck in the palm tree. the place of first mission maybe was Brazil or something like that one cod mission IIRC
I really wanna play this game again it seemed fun from what I remember.
EDIT: I also want to add that from I remember the graphics were more like Wofeinstein 2009 style than some old low polygon graphics
First off, it's not Mortal Kombat.
There are a few things I remember from the game that might help me find it.
- One of the beginning levels was jumping out of a plane and avoiding things as you head towards the ground.
- The character wore dark clothing and had a pointy head.
- Super HALO type vibes
- He had this super funky parachute, and I remember one of the levels having interaction with a fan that would blow you up and down?

I can't place The Mk12 parachute on top of the Mk1 command pod, only after some testing in the video i found out i can place it upside down and rotate it, still weird

Edit: Vens Stock Part Revamp caused the bug, i uninstalled the mod and building works fine now
I recently launched with a rocket for space that had 4 "atmospheric engine pods", they were to allow me to use atmo thrust to get me as high as it could, and then be ditched once I was high enough. Overkill I know, but I was experimenting.
The pods had a timer block that when triggered would turn the engines off, turn parachute hatches on, turn an antenna on (so I could hopefully find them) and then turn off the merge block which is how they were connected. I tested them in a creative world and saw that the cutes deployed with no issues (300m).
When I used it in my real game, it doesn't look like the chutes deployed. All of the pods took damage on landing (there were 3 cutes on each). I remember in one of Splitsie's videos he mentioned something about cutes not deploying when a player wasn't nearby, but he was on a server at the time and I thought that is where it applied. This is single player.

Hey all, I just saw that emergency parachutes are coming to Miramar. I found a video about the season 10 updates where they were introduced on Haven, but I was away from the game while haven was active and never got to use one.
My question is: do they replace your backpack and limit your carrying capacity or is it something you keep IN your backpack. I think they could be fun for escaping off Miramar’s cliff faces, I just have no idea how they work in game. Any one have any info?

It's funny to make fun of neckbeards I get it, I'm not even implying I never do myself with that post, but I think beyond that there is a discussion to be had about why these people end up where they do.
It's much more about social anxiety, depression and self esteem issues than it is about personal responsibility or life choices in my opinion.
I have, in the past, teared up because an r/neckbearddens r/neckbeardnests post I saw on the front page looked 5 times better than my room. I was in a dark place for a few months at the height of the 2020 pandemic lockdown, drowning in garbage and surviving on chips and strawberry mirinda and a shower a week.
Since I got past that, I really have a harder time making fun of the "neckbeard" stereotype and think we should probably better reach out instead.
