Pam's quitting DM to join Michael's new company was the dumbest decision ever.
There I said it.
It was so impulsive and out of nowhere.
I wish they gave us a scene where Jim and Pam talk about it and Jim's like "WTF, Pam?"

Michael Scott Paper Company would have not existed without Pam.
TLTR: Pam is awesome.
If Pam didn't walk out with Micheal the Micheal Scott Paper Company would not have existed.
You can see in s5e22 when Pam and Micheal are walking around the corner that they both have regret on their faces. Possibly making the worst decisions in their lives.
What seems like the next week or so, Pam goes to Michael's condo and sees mail for the MSPC. Micheal is not dressed and makes an enormous breakfast. He gets upset that he doesn't know what to do next and spills the french toast batter all over himself.
It is here that Pam starts to shine by staying calm and supporting Micheal through this. Micheal is still the boss but her supporting presence and persistence is just what he needs. She makes a list of simple things to follow like make an enormous breakfast, get greased etc.
Pam eventually breaks down after a defeating day trying to find investors and Ryan. It is here that Micheal supports Pam and motivates her to keep moving forward and to just try.
Pam knows Micheal has his special, genuine, good person moments and trusts him.
Getting their little office space they both realize what they have created together. Plus Ryan.
Just some thoughts I had while rewatching for the umpteenth time. Love The Office. π

Anyone else think it was wrong for Jim to get mad that Pam didnβt want him to take the job at first then didnβt want to move?
Ok so a lot of people say Pam was out of line for how she reacted to Athlead. However hereβs why I think Jim was more in the wrong in this situation.
-
many people say Pam got to go to art school with his full support but she wouldnβt support him. However, they were only dating at the time, Pam had said in an interview that she couldnβt go if things werenβt so perfect with Jim and if down the road they had a family she couldnβt go then either. Jim and Pam had not one but two kids when he started working for Athlead. A major reason Pam wouldnβt go to art school.
-
they talked about it and she said no. We donβt know the full conversation, but she possibly talked about how they have two kids and need the money. Solid reasons, and his friend said if it took off he would buy them a new car. Could be a lie but shows his friend was trying to give a thank you for the idea.
-
yes Pamβs schooling costed money, however when she needed to stay and retake her class, she decided not to and a possible reason is the money. However Jim offered a $10k investment to a company that wasnβt even certain it wouldnβt go under and only went all in after feeling he didnβt look like a team player unless he went in with the full $10k.
-
it isnβt so certain that Jim would have told Pam until much later, he only talked to her because of Darrel.

Who's Side Are You On? Should Ryan and Pam have been allowed to keep the clients they took from employees of Dunder Mifflin or should they have been forced to give the clients back?
In S5E24 "Casual Friday", The trio at the Michael Scott Paper Company returns to Dunder Mifflin with Pam and Ryan coming on in sales. While they were working at the Michael Scott Paper Company, they got new clients and took some from Dunder Mifflin. Now that they've returned, the Dunder Mifflin sales staff feels like they're entitled to have those clients back. This leads me to my question: which side are you guys on? Do you think Pam and Ryan should have been able to keep the clients they won over, or should they have to return the clients to the Dunder Mifflin sales team.
My Opinion: Pam and Ryan won those clients over fair and square. Different companies are constantly taking clients from each other. I know they use the word "stealing", but I don't really consider it stealing. The client is making a choice to switch providers. Nobody is forcing anything. They're acting like because they had a client at one time, they're entitled to that client for the rest of time. The client isn't their property. I don't think they should have forced Michael to give them those clients. Especially because when Michael was leaving to start his own company, none of them came with him or helped him. In fact, most of them made fun of him for it. And then they expect him to give them the clients that his employees won fair and square after all that? I just think its bullshit and Pam and Ryan deserved to keep the clients they rightfully won over.
