What wrestler feels the most “paint by numbers” in the ring?
Every wrestler has signature moves or taunts (outside of their finishers) in their performance, that’s obvious. Some do a solid job mixing things up from match to match, but for others, I feel like every match hits the same beats without fail. I’m wondering if anyone else feels this way and has anyone in mind.
For me it’s Nakamura. I feel like the guy has a list of things he does in roughly the same order in every match.
- strut away taunt
- corner noodle arm taunt
- COOOMEEE ONNNN
- Good vibrations
- missed seated kick followed by a missed stomp
- corner back roll into a knee
I swear he hits all of these same beats every match and it kind of takes away from the storytelling, in my opinion. It’s always stuff I’ve seen before without a whole lot of variation.
