Parents, family, and caregivers are a lot of things - but more often than not, they aren’t professional chefs. But in your youth, you can only form opinions based off what you experience. Growing up, I always assumed I was a “picky” eater. And would avoid tasting or trying new things, having had an ingredient or two I disliked in my childhood, and assuming I wouldn’t like the dish.

In turns out, my mother just was a terrible cook. It wasn’t until I set out into the world and realized so many things are delicious! Don’t like vegetables? I didn’t either when they were slopped out of a can and put on my plate. But grilled and seasoned correctly? Absolutely delicious.

If you feel you have a limited pallet and typically just stick to foods you know are “safe” PLEASE do yourself a favor and try them when prepared at a restaurant! Or even just watch YouTube videos on how to prepare them appropriately yourself. Odds are, you’re missing out on a world of delicious culinary offerings all because of a misconception formed in your youth. You more than likely don’t “hate” a certain type of food, you’ve just never experienced it cooked correctly.

What a fucking failure of a gamemode. I remember all the hype around it before it was revealed, people thinking it'd be a mix of Tarkov and Hunt, which sounded amazing. People thinking it'd be free-to-play. But then it was revealed, and then you actually tried it and... lmao.

Riot probably has more employees that are only responsible for Esports than Valve has for Dota overall. It is still beyond my understanding how a billion-dollar company can refuse hiring more people for different fields for a game that probably brings them 200+ Million each year.

After a decade and billions of profit we still only have about a dozen devs and absolutely no regular update schedule, no Esports managers, no Community managers, no platform to give feedback besides maybe getting frontpage on Reddit 10 times, Esports is a mess, Ranked System is still a mess, Hacks that have not been updated for years are still working and people only get banned when someone makes a Reddit Post about them and then Valve has the audacity to make us pay $40 for a Model rework. I don't mind investing money into a game but at least invest it back into the game ffs.

But the worst part is we can't even do anything against it. Pro Player Union? Stop buying stuff in Dota? Nothing is gonna work and nothing is gonna change because the past has shown often enough that Valve rather abandons their work instead of investing resources into fixing them.

I'm going on the 'official record' to explain my personal decision. I will be sacrificing my house, my car, and my coming kid's current college savings. I am doing this for my family's future. I am 100% confident that I will be upgrading my home to a mansion, and my family vehicle to an SUV: Lamborghini Urus.

So pissed right now. Sanded a big, new build, 10 cabinet, built-in wall down to 220 grit and prep it for a week and it's smooth as a babies' ass and ready for paint. Get talked into using Killz or Bullseye 123 for primer by the guy at the hardware store as a "must have". I buy the Killz Premium and the lightest roller out there. I mix the shit out of the stuff after the guy at the store already did, and roll on the lightest coat possible.

The stuff goes on like pancake batter and I promise mysef it shrinks as it dries. It does but not enough. The final finish looks like it was sculpted out of play doh using only feet.

I can fix this - I lie to myself again and skim coat a few of the worst spots with wood filler and try to sand a few others as I remember this fucking shit doesn't sand even after giving it 24 hours in 72 degree temps with zero humidity, even though the can says it's good go after an hour. It heats up and gums up the sandpaper and smears around until it deposits huge bubble gum chunks all over your previously perfectly painted finish. To add insult to injury it even peels right off of a few places just daring me to light the entire room on fire and move to a new state. I consider it for a minute, then think how mad the kids would be to have to make new friends. The thought has passed and I'm about 60% convinced I made the right choice.

Never ever again. What in the actual fuck is this shit used for? It's worthless as a primer and makes your perfect projects look like they have 20 coats of paint on them. No matter what anyone tells you, do not use this garbage unless you are a glutton for punishment.

EDIT: Thanks for the words of wisdom kind internet strangers. I forgot to put that the cabinet doors were not on the cabinets when this catastrophe happened and there isn't more than a couple inches of reveal once they are on.

One good thing though, I was fucking around trying to get a good skim coat and found that a mixture of about 40% wood filler, 40% drywall mud, and 20% latex paint of the color you are planning to use as the end coat, works really great for a skim coat that dries pretty fast and sands down to a really smooth surface that will finish with one final coat of paint. I bet adding alcohol would make it dry even faster but might make it too runny. I was running low on wood filler so I couldn't risk fucking up the mix that was working.
