A list of puns related to "Olsen"
Elizabeth Olsen never said there was a βLuke Skywalker Mando level cameoβ. She was asked about casting that hasnβt leaked yet in an interview she did on Feb 2.
> When asked if WandaVision has anything similar in store β namely a casting that she canβt believe hasnβt leaked yet β Olsen gave us a quick, βYes.β And though she dared not offer any specifics, she did share with a laugh that βIβm really excitedβ for viewers to see what (or who) is coming.
She never said Luke Skywalker level cameo. There are 2 quotes by her in the article and she says βyesβ (about casting that hasnβt leaked) and that sheβs excited.
Here is the interview in question. This was clearly about Evan Peters in episode 5 which aired 3 days later.
Marvel, Feige, Olsen, and Bettany never set that expectation - TVLine did with their clickbait article. Then everyone freaked and ran with the headline(Will WandaVision Have Its Own 'Luke Skywalker' Moment? Elizabeth Olsen 'Really Excited' for Surprise to Come), not the substance of the article or Olsenβs quotes.
I just have to gush for a minute about her performance, particularly the scene at the end of episode 4 when she sees Vision's dead form.
When he tells her they can go anywhere, her delivery of "no, we can't" is absolutely heartbreaking. She tells the audience so much in three words.
We have just seen for the first time that she's aware of the real world and that this town is not a part of that through her interaction with Monica. Now we see that she knows Vision is dead, she's grieving, she's in denial, she's terrified of having to accept a reality in which Vision is gone and she'll do anything she can (how scary is that thought btw?) to avoid it. Three damn words.
Everything up til this point has been her trying to give herself the life she should have had with Vision, the house, the dinner party, the community, the kids. All the normal stuff that they never had. It's so sad.
Then the scene continues and she tells him she has everything under control and suddenly she seems unhinged. Like she has actually lost her mind. Knowing the power she has, seeing her like that, she's very scary.
Elizabeth portrayed so much in like 20 seconds of a scene. It was so damn good.
