I happened upon Neil Blomkamp's Oats Studios on Netflix, and I am really enjoying every episode so far. Each one is weird and creepy and has a great premise. And I don't mind that they're basically concepts rather than full films—it kind of makes them scarier. Anyway, I had never heard of them before so I figured I'd post since I love a good recommendation. Feel free to flame, add bits, give awards, report me, etc! Happy new year!
I just finish OATS Studio on Netflix, what a fantastic show, especially the episode with Sigourney Weever. Does anybody know if there are plans to continue any of these short stories or will it be more like Love, Death and Robots?

I really loved all the oats studio short films on Netflix. I thought this would be the best place to ask. Why did it get such negative views? I think it was creative, and liked the idea of testing it to viewers for future series/movies.
Having recently read Ambergris and seen the Oats portfolio thing on netflix I feel like they would be a perfect match. Oats can't make a narrative to save its life and the Ambergris mushroom based sci fi world fits exactily in the sweet spot of the the kind of world and character they can make believable. Somone is inevitably going to make Ambergris and I think it should be Oats.
Have you seen the show Oats Studios on Netflix? I am not sure how I feel after watching this series. It was very strange, and some episodes feel like they end way too soon. Also, what is with Cooking with Bill? I get the devices are supposed to comedy horror, but once again there is such little context that I can't accurately sum up my feelings. Just curious if any of you fellow redditors have seen it.
This is one of the best reasons to even have Netflix right now. Neil Blomkamp’s nightmarish worlds in a short 15-30 minute anthology series.
I've seen a few folks asking about what to watch during October and this collection of shorts should definitely help scratch that itch. My only gripe is that nobody has taken them further. Really cool ideas, decent effects, and Sigourney Weaver! Check it out, it is definitely worth your time IMO.

I started watching the Netflix series called Oats Studios, two episodes in so far. Seems like some decent fodder for story, scenario, or MotW baddies. The series description says,

How often do the Wardens here pull some inspiration from the common media, and how often are you generating your own ideas instead?
Netflix hat gerade (oder irgendwann während ich nicht zugeschaut habe) "Oats studio" Hochgeladen. Es ist eine Serie wie "Liebe, Tod und Roboter", indem es eine sammlung kurzgeschichten ist. Es gibt etwas sieben oder acht Folgen, jeder eine andere Thema und manchmal Stil. Ich habe es vorher angeschaut, jedoch waar es damals eine einzelstück — jede "Folge" war einfach zusammengepresst und es war ein Film. Ich schaue es jetzt wieder an, da es sehr gut ist und ich finde sowohl die Geschichten als auch die Effekten toll. (Warnung: Diese Serie ist wegen Blut und Tod und sowas sehr "R-Rated", schau es nur an, wenn du damit kein Problem!)
Jedes Mal, wenn ich eine solche Serie ansehe, bekomme ich eine große Lust, Scifi zu schreiben :) Die erste Folge in der Serie hat mit Außerirdischen zu tun, und sie besitzen eine fantastiche Techhnologie, die mir interessiert. Auch sind die Außerirdischen von interessant Design. Ich bin immer gespannt, wenn neue Serien wie diese und LDR auftauchen. (Wenn jemand andere solche Filme oder Serien kennt, sag es mir Bescheid, ich würde sehr gern mehr anschauen!)
Outside of Rakka which I thought was great and hooked me in, most were uninteresting or too short for there own good. Never been a big Neil fan either.

J'ai découvert aujourd'hui que on a ajouté à Netflix une série qui s'appelle "Oats Studio". Elle est une série composé de quelques histoires courtes, pour le plupart elles sont science-fiction, mais il y a de quelques styles et sujets. Certains épisodes ont trait aux extraterrestres et autres sont de autre diverse sujets. C'est un peu comme "Love, Death, and Robots", qui a fait début il y a quelques ans en Netflix, en ce que chaque épisode est un histoire courte qui explore une idée nouvelle et unique.
Cette sorte de serie est ma préféré puisque elles explorent beaucoup des idées et styles. J'aime aussi lire les histoires courtes, particulierment les de Ray Bradbury et des autres écrivains de scienice-fiction. L'exploration d'idées et de mondes nouvelles est très fascinant. En particulier quand ils ont de technologie nouvelle ou extraterrestres imaginatifs.
(Avertissement : cette serie est vraiment r-rated, ne la regardez que si ça n'est pas un problème :)
It’s an anthology series and one of the episodes is about god who is quite annoyed with people especially when they defy him who has an assistant named Geoffrey who dosen’ like what god is doing. Now to be fair Geoffrey is a butler but still wow really close.

Oats studios is a Netflix show featuring small gory short films that seem more innocent than they are. I’m thinking of what I have seen that there might be some lore to this. Thank you so much for even taking my theory into consideration.
