A list of puns related to "Novigrad"
I have played through the Witcher 3 about 6 times since I have bought it and I still can't get over the level of attention to detail and scale of novigrad. Physically novigrad isn't that big of a city if you look at real medieval cities. However, the way that cd is able to make the city feel alive and constantly moving makes up for that. Still have that feeling of awe when I first ride into novigrad during a playthrough.
I am going up against the Novigrad champion Durden the Tailor. And I just wanna know HOW THE HELL you beat that elven motherfucker. He just goes sicko mode dishing out haymakers left and right. A single punch takes 1/3 of my health. Yes, 1/3. I die in 3 punches. Which isnβt a problem, but this guy is like the fucking flash, heβs 4 parallel universe ahead of me at all times and I cannot touch him.
Any suggestions or tips? Is there something I have to do before the fight? Or am I just bad?
Iβm playing on the hardest difficulty and I am level 100. He shouldnβt even be a problem, Iβm sure as hell the other champions werenβt.
We gotta save Doodoo from Whore son! I lol everytime these names get said.
What advice can you all give me on doing this one so I donβt screw it up?
Basically the title. Will it hurt level progress if I go to novigrad early just to get to merchants etc.?
Currently playing my first playthrough of this game and I am absolutely stunned by the sheer beauty and depth of it, especially walking around Novigrad. I am currently doing the quests in this city and I am just thoroughly impressed at the place. I can't help but stop to take snapshots of even the most mundane things. The way the NPCs walk around and say some absurd/hilarious stuff, the lighting of buildings at night-time, the little alleyways and secret passages, the atmosphere in the pubs, the super irrelevant quests that you never would've come across if you didn't walk down one specific pathway at a certain time of day, the detail inside people's homes, the different gangsters walking around, the difference in class and how you can come across wealthy parts of the city and poor parts. Even the placement of fruit stands and the way random objects are spread around. Like the way wooden beams are stacked upon each other on the side of the road or workers actively doing things as you run past them.
I love how different the city feels in the day versus the night. During the day, it feels like a typical hustle bustle city and when night comes, everyone comes out to party and dance. The absurd amount of strumpets and drunk people littered around at night is amusing. I also love how they subtly convey the feeling that there is a deep criminal underworld, just slightly tucked out of view but the presence is always felt. I have not once felt bored when running from one side of the city to the other, it is genuinely exciting to explore this place and find new NPCs to interact with. I've just finished the quest 'Of sword and dumplings' and just marvelled at how this even happened in the first place. I just randomly went into a house and bumped into the blacksmith which sparked a whole series of events; the fact that he offered me a dumpling which turned into a whole escapade of missions was pretty damn cool.
I can't get over how 'real' this game feels and how alive the world is, I feel like this has seriously scratched an itch that I didn't know I had in gaming.
Safe to say, I am a fan.
Hey guys,
While I was pursuing a quest, a couple of guards (I think they were witch hunters) confronted me for insulting one of their leaders i believe. I gave them my swords, and then I beat them with my bare fists. Thing is, now I lost 4 witcher swords and a ton of rare relic swords. What am I supposed to do??
Dows below is the general area this happened in. I might be wrong, but around here should have happened. Now i only have a mace from looting them.

So I ended up assassinating radovid which I donβt feel bad about at allβ¦.however then I basically had to chose between dysktra and roche. Seeing as roche seemed like a more honorable person(Iβm playing super good guy geralt) and he also actually came to help in kaer morhen(dykstra did give me money), I ended up killing dykstraβ¦.but I kinda feel bad about that as he seemed like a friend in the weirdest kind of way and he helped the mages escape.
Iβm just wondering if there was some way to make that a peaceful alliance between them and not have either of them dieβ¦did I chose the wrong thing at some point?
Does anyone else find the navigation of Novigrad mildly irritating? Actually, at its best it's mildly irritating. At it's worst, I have to turn it off and watch anime or something. To cool the blood.
This is just a rant but I'm hoping to find someone to commiserate with. I'm about to tear my clothes up and rub ash all over my head. It's that bad.
I was eliminated in the first round. Are the card prizes worth it for me to reload and redo the whole quest?
I also am not confident that I can beat the halfling guy but I guess I can win if I try several times.
After learning that Knights of Flaming Rose were intentionally sent to die in HoS, I wonder whether Radovid doesn't have similar plans regarding Eternal Fire?
We know that Radovid hates specific mages, more accurately Lodge of Sorceress and he lets Eternal Fire do what they want in Novigrad because he needs money, and after the war, I think he would get rid of them in one way or another.
I'm trying to justify choosing Redanian victory mostly because I find it hard to believe that Geralt would be able to do things in BoS if Emhyr lives and wins while Ciri stays Witcher, but I also don't think Geralt would let Roche to die leaving Djikstra as high councilor.
Currently I'm on the count reuven's treasure quest and using the temerian armor along with the moonblade, level 13, I was wondering what the best possible gear I could get at this time would be

Any witcher game fans here?
I've done all the question point in White Orchard and Velen and I've explored the area of Novigrad with all the small villages. I'm currently at level 21, have no problem with fighting almost any kind of beast, but when I try to get any question point in Novigrad done I simply get killed. It doesn't matter if it's humans, beasts or anything, I just can't do anything. I don't understand what I am doing wrong (I'm totally ok with question points in Skellige) but this problem only occurs in Novigrad. Thank you
