Pitanje: kojoj kulturno-povijesnoj regiji pripada grad Varaždin?

Moj kratki odgovor: Zagorje (vjerojatno)

Moj dugi odgovor:

Prvo zelim reci da vž definitivno geografski pripada podravini/podravlju isto kao npr. Ludbreg, Đurđevac ili Osijek.

Drugo, jezik tj dijalekt ovdje ne moze biti odrednica jer ne postoji "podravski" ili "zagorski" dijalekt ( za detalje istrazite podjelu kajkavskog po Miji Lončariću i Stjepanu Ivšiću)

E sad, zakaj nije podravina. Evo detaljne definicije Podravine iz knjige Petre Somek 'Tradicijsko graditeljstvo Podravine': "Geografski prostor povijesne regije Podravine u užem smislu obuhvaća područje nekadašnjih triju velikih općina: Ludbreg, Koprivnice i Đurđevac (do 1993.). U samoupravnom ustroju danas Podravinu čine tri grada i 23 općine, odnosno 26 jedinica lokalne uprave. To su gradovi Ludbreg, Koprivnica i Đurđevac te općine Martijanec, Sveti Đurđ, Veliki Bukovec, Rasinja, Sokolovac, Legrad, Đelekovec, Gola, Peteranec, Hlebine, Drnje, Koprivnički Ivanec, Koprivnički Bregi, Novigrad Podravski, Virje, Novo Virje, Kloštar Podravski, Ferdinandovac, Podravske Sesvete, Kalinovac, Molve i Pitomača." Mislim da je tu sve jasno i da Varaždin, ne samo da nije Podravina, nego niti ne granici s Podravinom kao npr opcine Jalžabet i Trnovec Bartolovečki.

Problem s pojmom "varaždinština". Već se po samom nazivu vidi da je to noviji made-up pojam. Da je neki povijesni ili tradicionalni pojam glasil bi "varaždinščina". Po mojem mišljenju se tu radi više o marketingu nego kulturi. Varaždinsko zelje isto nije varazdinski proizvod, nego proizvod opcine Vidovec (cak imaju zelje na grbu), Slobodna zona Varazdin se isto ne nalazi na podrucju grada nego na podrucju susjedne opcine Trnovec Bartolovečki, isto tako i "varazdinsko" more, Aquacity, je na prostoru opcine Trnovec B., ispada da je jedino varazdinsko varazdinski klipic. Po mojem mišljenju, deklarirati neki proizvod varazdinskim je samo marketing jer je Varazdin poznatiji od Vidovca ili Trnovca, ne mogu se deklarirati podravskim jer vecina vžž nije podravina, a ni zagorskim jer taj naziv koristi kzž (koja je 100% Zagorje). Tako da je "varaždinština" marketinski pojam koji oznacava podrijetlo n

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
