A list of puns related to "Norman Osborn (Sam Raimi film series)"
If you've seen Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man film and its two sequels, you probably already know that a huge portion of their story revolves around Peter Parker's complex relationship with his best friend Harry Osborn and his father Norman Osborn, who becomes Peter's nemesis "The Green Goblin" and eventually passes on the mantle to Harry. You also probably know that the films portray Norman as a kind of twisted surrogate father figure to Peter, which makes the animosity between Peter and Harry in the later films come off as a case of sibling rivalry.
From the beginning, it's made clear that Harry and his father have had a rocky relationship for most of Harry's life, and that Norman (a respected scientist and a successful businessman) views his painfully average son as a disappointment. And since Peter was a star student and a science prodigy long before he became the superhero Spider-Man, Norman instantly takes a liking to him when they meet, realizing that he has far more in common with Peter than with his own son.
This ultimately has a profound effect on Peter and Harry's dynamic over the course of the trilogy, particularly after Norman's death at the end of the first movie. As Harry struggles to live up to his father's legacy while attempting to avenge him by killing Spider-Man, he gradually grows resentful of Peter, realizing that he was the kind of son that his father really wanted. Particularly in the first film, Norman is implicitly portrayed as a dark counterpoint to Peter's beloved uncle Ben, effectively serving as a negative fatherly influence to contrast Ben's positive fatherly influence; Peter reaches the apex of his character development after he chooses to follow the influence of the humble, compassionate Ben, implicitly rejecting the influence of the callous, prideful Norman.
Like most things in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, this element of the story isn't particularly subtle. Hell, you could practically make a drinking game out of all of the moments when characters figuratively refer to Norman as Peter's father, or refer to Harry and Peter as "brothers".
After Peter and Norman first meet during Peter's fateful class field trip to the science lab, Harry half-jokingly says "I think he wants to adopt you!" after seeing his father bond with Peter over their shared love of science.
Later, after Harry and Peter's high school graduation, Norman tells Peter "You're like a brother to Harry. That makes you family!"

... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm working on a fan edit similar to Spider-Man: Birth of a Hero and u/filmnerd14 's Spiderman Spectacular Cut. It will take the 3 Sam Raimi movies and mesh them together to be one film where all the events are taking place at the same time. Any suggestions on what to cut out of the movie so it doesnβt seem clogged?
Special thanks to Reddit u/DigModiFicaTion for providing feedback for the 2nd version of this fan edit.
So in this 2nd version, I remove a couple of scenes, improve the editing, improve the audio transition and extended the opening of the film.
Anyway, its Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films but it's his origins story with Spider-Man 2 storyline.
So this edited, I used Spidy's origins from the first Spider-Man film with the 2nd film storyline. With some change like Norman Osborn never becomes the Green Gobin in the first film so he just died before the 2nd film started.
I added a few voice lines from the first Spider-Man movie game and add a new colour grading for both films. Furthermore, this cut was inspired by Filmnerd14 with his cut on Spider-Man.
The sources, I used for this fan edits were from DVD copy from Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 2.1. This is because my laptop doesn't support Blu Rays and I don't have enough money to buy a Blu Ray adaptor. So I can't rip Blu Ray films.
As a parallel to Peter ultimately losing everything, and visiting Aunt May's grave right after the fact, I think it would be interesting to see Norman, finally cured of the Goblin, returning to a world where Harry has already died, and quietly mourning at his son's grave. Only for Tobey's Peter to show up to grieve with him; after a brief discussion where Norman remorsefully laments the things he's done as the Goblin, Tobey Peter paraphrases the "forgiving yourself" speech given to him by Aunt May in Spiderman 3, giving the emotionally broken former Goblin a bit of hope to go on, despite losing his son, and ultimately his place in the world (since by this point, he would be presumed dead in the Raimi Verse).
In the end, both the main hero and villain of this story lose everything dear to them in the process of redeeming themselves, but are able to move forward by having ability to ultimately forgive themselves, despite each living in a world that no longer even recognizes them.
I think it would be nice for both MCU Peter and Raimiverse Norman's story arcs to ultimately end the exact same way, as it would add more meat to the film's themes of redemption and moving forward, while putting a definitive end to the tragic circumstances that led to Harry's demise.

Once again i calculated the US dollar grosses using a calculator and the official euro grosses, so these numbers, while not 100% correct, they should be somewhat accurate.
It would be great to see Sam Raimi as the director of FNAF's live-action movie as he is a master at making jumpscares in his movies and horror movies too!
