A list of puns related to "Nissan VR engine"
Mechanic says I should idle it, I read online that's bad advice: https://learndiesels.com/8-idle-facts/
What does r/cartalk have to say on the matter?
I've been looking at used Japanese cars to buy and I find it common that people are selling Nissan's 350Zs with removed engines. All of the 350/370s I found are either modded to hell and back or they're lacking a pretty important component in the engine bay - the engine itself. The transmission is there, everything else is there but no engine. Why is it so common?
This seems HUGE! Has anyone tried this?
Engine Fixes VR - v1.22 Parallax Support Added
"Contributions from alandtse, Shadow Bolt, and Crit for adding parallax support to Engine Fixes VR!"
Hello ๐
A few days ago I went to start my 2004 1.5 N16 Nissan Almera early in the morning (though mild temperature) - It usually starts right away, but it struggled, and took 4-5 times to get a weak start (sounding similar to a low battery, so I presumed it was that as I usually only do short runs).
A few hours into the drive, a check engine light shows up, I also notice that the drive has taken significantly more petrol than normal.
Reading the code, it's a P0171 system too lean.
I've read the live data, and the mass airflow sensor is reading ~0.2g/s with the engine off, ~2-3g/s idle, and ~7g/s at 2500rpm - So I don't _think_ this is the problem.
The long term fuel trim is pegged at 26.6% at idle, and the same at 2500rpm.
I've also felt around for any vacuum leaks and there's nothing obvious, though I've not tried any carb cleaner etc.
When the car is idling, and I rev up to 2500rpm and release, the car _almost_ stalls every time - The revs dropping low, and some small shudders.
I want to avoid throwing too many new parts - So do you have any advice on what could be wrong here, or the best way to identify what's wrong?
Hi everybody,
It was quite cold where I live today (about -30 to -35 degrees Celsius) and when I went to start my 2022 Nissan frontier something odd happened. I let the car warm up for a few minutes and when I put the car into drive it sputtered and died. So I let the truck warm up for another 10 minutes and the problem seemed to be solved, except now the check engine light is on. The code displayed on my obd reader is P0731: Gear 1 Incorrect Ratio.
I'm not sure if I can chalk the issue up to the cold weather or if something else may have caused it. As I am not super knowledgeable about auto repair I am wondering if this is something I should take the truck in to the dealership for or if I could just clear the code now that it is driving alright?
Thank you all for your help!
My 2015 Nissan Versa Note wonโt start. All of the electrics turn on, including the lights, radio, etc, but as the title says the engine wonโt start. The battery is less than 2 years old and the car only has about 50,000 miles. Iโm very inexperienced with car problems so does anybody know what the problem could be or have any advice? Thank you.
