A list of puns related to "Nickelodeon (British and Irish TV channel)"
I've spent countless hours watching both of them.
Nickelodeon has a holy Trinity for me (Drake & Josh, iCarly and Zoey101) with Big Time Rush and Kenan & Kell just rounding out the top 5. Honourable Mention to Ned's Declassified too, that show was awesome.
On the animated side, SpongeBob is of course legendary, as are Fairy Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron. I genuinely enjoy watching those more. But hey, we had PokΓ©mon and Yu-Gi-Oh! on Disney here those were basically the only animated shows i watched on Disney.
But so much shows on Nick make me cringe. Like what the fuck did they try to do with Breadwinners, Tak and the power of JuJu, Harvey Beaks or Fanboy and fucking Chum Chum?
Some live-action shows like Victorius, School of Rock and Henry Danger are really bad too.
Although they sometime drop a gem. (Like Loud House is absolutely fantastic, and so were Haunted Hathaways and I Am Frankie)
But nothing compares to Disney Channel.
Boy Meets World, Good Luck Charlie, Austin & Ally (although i didn't like it) Zack & Cody, Girl Meets World, Hannah Montana, Wizards Of Waverly Place the list can go on. I genuinely loved all those shows.
Although they may suck on the animated front, only Recess was brilliant, the live action shows are amazing.
Some Disney shows are sub par or plain bad (Dog With A Blog. For real? Come on...), Nothing holds to the power that Disney has in terms of live action shows.
Nick names Nick Name's nickname NikName
I have this very vague memory of a British television show that was on either in the late 70s or early 80s. I think it might have been "re-shown" on Nickelodeon or a similar network. I recall that it was fairly spooky, in way that was similar to English Folk Horror; but, it was kid's show.
I don't recall anything else about the show, except for that very specific image: there was an older man, possibly a doctor of some sort, setting a "hypnosis wheel" (e.g., a black and white spiral, more reminiscent of mesmerism, than hypnosis really) on a turntable while a boy (I think) watches it spinning. There might have been a girl in the shot as well, but I'm not positive. I can't remember why any of this happening, unfortunately.
I also can't remember if the show as in black and white or not; but if it was shown in color, it was pretty muted and dark. I did some looking around and thought maybe it was either Chocky or The Tomorrow People...but if it is, I can't find the specific image I'm thinking of.
Any ideas?! Thanks all!
I just tempered this show (that is hopefully real and I didnβt make it up in my head) it revolves around a kid who was in a rivalry against his sisters cat who was secretly trying to take over the world with other cats. Iβve googled search like 20 different things and canβt find it.
