"Dust. By definition, it is a naturally occurring energy propellant that can be triggered by the Aura of Humans and Faunus." Creative uses, and limitations.

So the aura can activate the dust.

But how? I mean, in the series it is shown. I'm just saying, what are the limits?

It is not mentioned that it can be activated by the semblances, but by the aura directly.

Now let's see:

-The glyphs of the Schnees allow the manipulation of different types of Dust. For example, launching projectiles of dust.

-Through channeling the dust through Gambol Shroud, Blake can create clones of different types (Stone, ice, fire, etc.)

-Through Cinder's profile, she can manipulate the fire dust sewn on her clothes.

However, what else can be done? Can someone just come into contact with dust to activate a Crystal dust, just using the aura?

We have seen Hazel, using "Numbing Agent" to block the pain of injecting dust. However, his semblance does not increase dust control or decrease damage. His semblance only "block out pain".

So in theory someone else could inject dust into its body, only that it would be in great pain, but it could still use the dust to do things. (I don't know, imagine Adam injecting fire dust into his arm to shoot fire dust shots at Blake and Yang.

Or the Happy Huntresses injecting themselves with stone dust so they manipulate it to build walls of stone for Mantle).

But, is there another way to manipulate the dust? For example, if someone had to wear gloves with cooked fire dust, could they handle the fire dust from these gloves?

As mentioned, sewing dust on clothing is an old technique.

Or is it that you can only manipulate the dust of the sewn clothes if you have the appropriate semblance?

Now, if the aura can activate the dust, it would be possible to use the aura to prevent the dust from activating.

In general, these are potential ideas for fanfiction and applications that could be seen later in the canon.

But, what are your opinions? Or suggestions?

Did you know naturally occurring silver (47Ag) is composed of the two stable isotopes 107Ag and 109Ag in almost equal proportions, with 107Ag being slightly more abundant (51.839% natural abundance).

Silver has two naturally occurring isotopes. Ag-107 has an abundance of 51.82% and mass of 106.9 amu. Ag-109 has a relative abundance of 48.18% and a mass of 108.9 amu.

The periodic table would predict 108 for the most stable silver isotope, but there are only two stable isotopes of silver and 108 isn't one of them. Β Turns out the silver-107 and silver-109 are almost equally abundant, making the average atomic mass nearly 108. Β Once you know that the two isotopes have masses of nearly 107 and 109, you can determine which one is more abundant using the 107.9 g/mol shown on the periodic table. Β Because 107.9 is closer to 107 than it is to 109, then you know that silver-107 is slightly more abundant.

Naturally Occurring Non-Cannabis Derived CB1/CB2 receptor agonists - What are your thoughts?

Through my research I’ve found a few compounds that are found in other plants besides cannabis which either closely mimic the effect of THC or have been found to attach to the CB1 or 2 receptors either as an agonist or antagonist.

Main two in mind come from Magnolia and Kava, both are CB1 agonists and some also affect CB2. I’ve tried the Kava cannabinoid extract in a drink and it felt just like D8/9. I also tried the highly refined magnolia extract (90% purity) and it was insanely strong for someone with minimal tolerance to THC. I’m considering using it along with THC-free CBD distillate and terps in place of Delta 8 while I’m job searching to prevent showing up hot on a pre employment drug test. Also magnolia extracts are legal pretty much everywhere so may be a good alternative to bring along with you on trips to places where cannabis isn’t legal yet. I don’t think the magnolia extract could be vaped in a disty cart but could maybe blend into vape juice.

What do you guys think? Have you tried any of these, and do you think they could be a promising direction to go in for people in places where alt noids and MJ (and even hemp) aren’t legal?

Is There A Word For A Naturally Occurring Feature Which Is Evocative Of Or Resembles Clothing (Such As A Raccoon's Mask)?

Basically I mean a general word to refer to this "phenomena," not a specific one to refer to a raccoon's mask.

The topic came up in a conversaion about PokΓ©mon -- if you're not familiar, PokΓ©mon is a series about mythical animals that battle each other, and a lot of them have features which were clearly intended by the artists to be evocative of clothing (or something else manmade) despite being merely a biological part of that creature's body within the in-universe fictional world. I mused that we need to come up with a word to refer to this phenomena, and my friend said that a word probably already exists. I expressed doubt at the prospect -- "I don't think the word already exists, because wouldn't such a word only be relevant in the PokΓ©mon universe? It's not like animals in our universe have pants or hats." He responded by citing the mask of a raccoon, which got me wondering...

...Does such a word exist?

Could Time Slips not only be proof that time travel is possible, but is also a naturally occurring phenomenon?

Hello, all! It's been more than a hop and a skip since I've last posted on this subreddit, but I am back, not with a new, but more a refreshed question that may spark discussion between our members. I brought a similar discussion point up, I believe almost a year or so ago, but I feel it deserves, with more eloquence, to be brought up at least one more time, as I feel this is something worth pondering over.

I'm sure many of you have at least heard of the claimed phenomena known as Time Slips. There are countless stories and tales going back centuries of people who, at one moment are going about their daily lives as normal, and the next, are either cast forward or backwards in time. They stay there for a small, but non-fixed amount of time, and then are promptly tossed back to their own time. Cases are spread out all over the world, from the U.K. with one such example being the many from Liverpool, more in specificity, Bold Street in Liverpool, to Europe with places such as the Palace of Versailles, to even the United States with a supposed case of a man spontaneously appearing in New York City, only to be killed by a passing automobile and during inspection of the body finding only coins and papers from almost a century prior. If you feel so inclined, you can do some research of your own on the many claims by people on the net.

Now, it is easy enough to simply discount these as either tall tales, or hallucinations. But, let's not be too hasty and remember that we are discussing a subject which many still claim to be fantasy, impossible and mental illness to believe is attainable to humanity. Just like many other facets of science once were. Now, history tells us that in cases where encounters are spread across such a long amount of time, in so many places, even if there are liars, they are still started by some grain of truth. So, how can we apply this here?

Well, first, let's say that there is a possibility that Time Slips, are indeed, a true phenomenon. Not of supernatural origins, as some claim them to be, but of an as yet unknown scientific origin. This would lead to two conclusions we could put forward. First, it proves that Time Travel is attainable for humanity, because of the second conclusion. Time Travel is a naturally occurring part of the universe. And if something is naturally occurring, then it can be replicated in an artificial manner, or harnessed to be used in an unnatural manner.

This also brings up several questions that would need

What would the Kappa be if it was a naturally occurring animal?

https://preview.redd.it/2mx7j8vzm1481.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c086492b06daf59538c63e08cb05aadd538e6bc

Kappa are about the size of a small child, they're amphibious, mischievous, sometimes malevolent (drowning people, eating them, among other unsavory actions), love cucumbers, and even practice sumo.

They're described further as looking turtle-like with a "dish" on the top of their head containing water. You can defeat a kappa by making it lose the water in its head. This may kill the creature.

I personally prefer it is an offshoot of the macaque family related to the Japanese macaque. Monkeys can be good swimmers like the crab-eating macaque or the swamp monkey. Monkeys are known to be curious, are labelled as mischief makers, and can be quite territorial and aggressive. you might be able to make it a reptilian or amphibian (giant salamanders might be the source of the kappa myth), but there's no evidence for bipedal reptiles or amphibians in the fossil record.
