Isnt it rather ironic that the Canadian federal government has created a brand new stat holiday that grants those in government jobs (post, city offices, teachers, etc) a day off?
Im curious how many first nations peoples we have currently in government employment positions.
To me, it seems like a day off for the same system that made those mistakes years ago.
If they are going to make it a stat holiday, why not make it a stat for EVERYONE in unity. Not just the government representatives. Feels like a fuck you to all our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and cousins who work in the service industry, retail, farming, fast food, construction, etc.

Welcome to another National Day Contest!!
Today is International Day of the Girl Child as well as National Kick Butt Day! What a fantastic combination of days! I totally believe that girls/ladies/women kick a lot of butt every day! I have had some amazingly strong women in my life. For example, my favorite aunt, whom many have heard me talk about on here is amazing. She lost her husband in the past year and has remained strong, loving, caring and giving. She held us up while we were all devastated from the loss. She recently contracted Covid, despite being vaccinated. She got pretty sick because of some major underlying issues, but has remained strong and happy. She really kicks butt!
