A list of puns related to "Multiple camera setup"
I'd like to create an interactive art exhibit in a room with 4 walls, and place a depth camera above each wall aimed downward at users to track arm movement, so people can push the digital art around. There will be a 3D rendering computer in another room doing all the heavy processing with TouchDesigner. Whats the most budget-friendly approach to set the depth cameras up?
It seems the most expensive will be 4 Azure Kinects, each connected to their own mini computer with nvidia RTX2070's since they are limited to 1-meter usb-c cord and apparently require heavy gpu processing according too their specsheet.
What about RealSense D435 + 4 Raspberry Pi 4b's? Is that even possible? Any other ideas that are closer to budget friendly, that will get the job done?
thank you
Hi all, I'm trying to add wireless access to some ethernet-only cameras. I have a mAP lite router for each camera and a grooveAC to broadcast the "host" WiFi network.
The cameras come pre-programmed with an IP address that can't be changed. When you plug them into a PC with an ethernet cable, you're able to access the camera via web browser. Id like to do the same, only wirelessly.
Possible to do this using a standard WiFi network and routing tables? Or do I need something more exotic, like a Ethernet over IP?
The IP addresses I've sketched out in the attached image are my best guess as to how this should be set up, but since the cameras all have an IP of 169.254.x.y, should I use a different subnet for each wifi connection? Or can they all be in the same subnet? Eg 10.0.0.x? Routing example
I could see many a reaction meme being born from this. Keep it up. π
I've been streaming with 3 simultaneous 720p camera views and performance has been simply abysmal. Will switch over to a 2nd computer setup and want to use some live-streaming dedicated hardware such as fast GPU(s) + capture card(s), etc. This will be a custom-build.
For a 2nd computer setup, can some one propose the fastest 2nd computer setup for live streaming 3 simultaneous 720p camera views so there are minimal glitches and lagging? For example, could I consider 3 capture cards, one for each camera? Or will this do nothing?
Almost nothing else will be running on this second computer except camera, capture, and streaming related software & drivers - definitely no gaming. I'm consider a Ryzen 3rd Gen processor.
Thanks much!
I've got a buddy who has been building his own home over the last few years.
Recently, he's noticed equipment is being tampered with and removed from his property. Cue need for a layer of security.
Although he'd like to progress to a dedicated Blue Iris rig in what will eventually be his network closet - they're looking for something a little bit more budget friendly in the short term.
With a preferred budget of around $500 USD, I came across this ReoLink setup which will allow them to expand as their budget allows. The cameras could also later be used with BI.
However their property is more of a 'compound' with four buildings. Wanting to stay away from WIFI (ideally) if they were to place the NVR on their guest house (which they currently live in), what would be the best way (using POE) to get cameras to the front of the house (driveway area) and other structures. Is there a limitation to the length POE will travel?
If you're going to have a very large play space, how will it be possible to use the wireless adapter? It'd have to be like the Rift but with coax extensions if it even could work. Has anyone even made any comment about using it in large areas?
Hello Everyone,
I have seen a bunch of posts about plotting/farming on multiple machines and realized many people are running 2+ full nodes on their home network, which is not advisable. I recently setup harvesters on remote machines and decided to create a video to show people just how easy it is. If you have any questions just let me know. I hope this gives people the confidence they need to properly setup their remote harvesters, because I was personally scared to do it in fear of messing it up and not being able to farm all my plots. However, it was pretty easy as you can see in the video!

I can also make a video on how to plot on multiple machines without running the full node if that is requested.
I'm one of those people who have to put away my sensors because my Rift is setup in the living room and I don't want to leave my sensors and cables lying around. Sometimes I want to use a roomscale setup, while other times, front facing, or even just one sensor would be fine. Instead of having to re-do the setup every time I change setups, I wish Oculus would allow me to create multiple profiles for camera setups so that I could simply switch between them.
I was wondering how I could properly setup wireless cameras across multiple acres. Itβs 20 acres and the main router and server/storage device would be setup directly in the middle of said acres. What would be the simplest and most affordable setup?
ANSWERED: The map is called Island Plates and you must have the Rise and Fall DLC to have it. - It seems I used to remember old Civ games having a map that was nothing but tiny islands. Archipelago maybe ? I know I need them to be at least big enough for districts but I still canβt find a map and settings that comes close to this. Am I missing something?
Would it be able to have multiple tweak setups on one device and have a tweak to switch between setups
I have a question regarding multiple tactics, most of my tactics so far are mostly similar with small changes such as going from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-2-1.
But I want a completely different tactic such as a 5-2-3. But, whenever I add a new tactic the squad positions for all the positions get completely messed up. I don't want my players trained and gain tactical familiarity in the wrong position, and I may want to have a different squad for this tactic. How do I do this?
Any recommendations for recording high quality videos within this budget?
I will be starting to use hero 5, DJI 4 pro, and an hcx1 in February. What would be the best and fastest work flow for editing in Premiere and exporting for social media/web and 1080hd interior building screens?
First post!
I've recently moved to a new house and want to ditch my pre-existing google wifi. I need something more customisable. I'm keen to get a couple of POE cameras at the same time and I'm currently leaning towards a networking solution with Ubiquiti's UniFi.
I'm really keen to avoid a proprietary format but I'm aware that UniFi's software wont let you use other cameras. I have a very high powered Synology nas (rs18017xs+) and can take advantage of surveillance station. I like the Eufy cameras but local nas storage seems hit and miss and I'm not sure if I can use it with UniFi
I can find lots of options out there, but none that meet the above. Any suggestions?
Cheers, Pat.
Hi everyone! This is sort of an open question which might not have a solution but I figured I would ask.
IΒ΄m a DM in a D&D group where I have a member who canΒ΄t join us live, thus he calls in and plays his character that way. This works fine for the most part but certain aspects of the game get a lot harder.
What I would love to have for this is a setup that I can make happen in a streamin software like OBS where I have two cameras: One zoomed in on the playing field and one on all the players. I would also love to be able to switch scenes and sometimes also show a particular image to this player.
IΒ΄ve been thinking a lot about how to do this the best way, but I donΒ΄t know a lot about conferencing like this. The only solution I could think of is to share the screen where I preview this setup in OBS, but this is not optimal since I need the computer to run the game more smoothly.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do? Thanks in advance.
Any suggestions on how to setup cameras in the home so that privacy is still a thing. I would use local recording most likely and obviously not put one in the bathroom but how do you deal with bedrooms?
I have a query function that uses the inputs of a series of dropdown menu's. When I only have one cell reference the function works fine.
And I get the intended result here:

However when I use two dynamic cell references like so:
This is the product:
I'm looking for the number not the variable
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
I've been looking around at home security systems, and it seems to boil down to Ubiquity or Eufy.
I already have an EdgeRouter X and Unifi Access Points, so am a bit familiar with Ubiquity.
I'd like to setup 2 outdoor cameras and 1 indoor camera for now, and have the ability to live stream them on my computer.
For the Unifi setup, it looks like I would need the UniFi Protect Network Video Recorder?
For the Eufy setup, I'm not sure how these would be connected.
Having to go into nvidia control panel EVERY TIME I want to switch my monitors up is... annoying. I often switch between my mac having all 3 monitors, to my gaming pc having 2 monitors and the mac having 1, and my gaming pc having only the main monitor at a higher refresh rate.
Win-P used to work when I only had 2 monitors, but now that there is 3, it's more complicated and Win-P doesn't work well.
Is there a way to do this?
EDIT: It's annoying because the control panel never remembers the location of my monitors, and 2 of my monitors are the exact same so it's hard to distinguish them in the control panel.
I want to get a outdoor camera to have pointed at the nights sky so i can watch the next day and see if i can see any satellites, airplanes, and hopefully some ufo. does anyone have a recommendation on a good camera they use? is an infrared recommended for night?
