Mister negative is an interesting champion with huge DPS and unique utility, this is my review for him 😄
• He’s Great counter for: No Retreat, Ebb and Flow - Intercept, Stun Immunity, Buffet, Lifecycle, Mighty Charge, Heal/Power Gain Inversion, Bane, Vigorous/Armored Assault and Power Shield.
• All his damage and utility depends on his light & dark energy:
- Both of Light Energy and Dark Energy lasts indefinitely until reaching 10 stacks (Max stacks 20).
- Light Energy will expire over 6 seconds! (Once reaching 10 stacks).
- Dark Energy will expire over 16 seconds! (Once reaching 10 stacks).
• His Best Damage:
- His best damage from his insane Degeneration Debuffs in SPECIAL ATTACK 2.
- SPECIAL ATTACK 3 with a lot of dark energy stacks can deal insane Direct Damage.
• SP1
- Increases Block Proficiency by +700 for each Light Energy, then convert all Energies into Dark Energy (His block proficiency can be increased by +14K max! and this can be applied to him twice). Also his sp1 inflicts an Exhaustion for 20 seconds.
• SP2 (Best damage)
- Less than 10 Dark Energy inflicts a Petrify for 20 seconds.
- Inflicts a Degeneration Debuff, dealing up to 3289.95 Direct Damage over 10 seconds.
- Last hit consumes all remaining D.Energy, inflicting 1 additional Degen for each Dark Energy. Very important note: If 10 or more Dark Energy are active, he will inflict another Petrify. • Best rotation for this special is get 8/9 light energy then charge heavy and wait for the opponent to attack you to convert them into D.Energy then do that again but this time with 11/12 light energy to get in total 19/20 dark energy to inflict massive degen damage and 2 petrify debuffs.
• SP3
- Inflicts a Delirium for 20 seconds.
- All Light Energy is consumed, each Regenerating 380.43 Health (big amount of healing with a lot of L.energy).
- All Dark Energy is consumed, each dealing a burst of 2071.45 Direct Damage to the Opponent.
• Heavy Attack: (His evade mechanic)
- It grants a Fury Buff increasing Attack Rating by +365.55 for 10 seconds.
- While Charging a Heavy Attack, if 1 or more Light Energy are active, he will gain 100% Evade chance against Basic Attacks.
• Need to be awakened?
- UnAwakened: He's a good champion to play.
- Awakened: Will be much better because his Sig. Ability will improve his Degen/Energy Resistance and immunity to all Nullify, Stagger and Fate Seal effects.
• Best Synergies:
- Nick Fury + Quake: Doubles the amount of dark energy + place
How would they react to Martin Li’s embodiment of Yin and Yang? Is there anything that China would deem inappropriate? I’m just wondering, because Shang-Chi looks relatively innocent and yet Simu Liu is bizarrely drawing criticism for his supposedly inauthentic status as a Chinese native. Would they dislike Martin Li similarly having migrated to America?
FYI, I’d ignore the comic origin. This is if they went down the Insomniac route.
After that FEAST reference on the set of Spider-Man 3 was leaked the other day, it got me thinking about a potential Spider-Man/Cloak & Dagger team-up. The show was actually quite good from what I heard, but I’m wondering if they’d need to reboot the property due to some of its themes being heavier than the Defenders. I’d personally like to see as much as possible retained because I’m a fan of continuity.
I know that Sony likes having non-Spidey MCU characters in the films because it boosts the brand with an extra A-list name, and that Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt don’t quite fit that criteria... but do they actually get the final say in who it is that appears? Does the contract specify anything along those lines? If the character has to have previously appeared in an MCU film, then could Cloak & Dagger fit that criteria if they cameo in something? It’s certainly food for thought IMO.
As for Mister Negative, I think that the PS4 game excellently demonstrated the character’s potential, and the reaction to the FEAST leak focusing primarily on Miles suggests to me that this is a character that a lot of people don’t and arguably should know. Stephen Oyoung would be my pick to reprise the role from the game, so if Sony wanting A-list actors is an issue, maybe they could take a page out of the game and cast Matthew McConaughey as Norman Osborn and Jodie Comer as Silver Sable?
I know what you're thinking. Spider-Man 3 isn't even out yet! But since Far From Home's release, I've been plotting the continuation of the Spider-saga through a third film, two additional trilogies and even Thunderbolts/Avengers movies. As fan-ficky as my idea for the third film may have turned out, I'm incredibly proud of what you're about to read. Some of it was inspired by the PS4 game.
Alright, here we go!
'Official' synopsis: "Two Christmases on from his family’s adoption of traumatised orphan Ana Kravinoff, Peter Parker finds himself caught in the crossfires of a private militia when they are hired by Mayor Norman Osborn to combat the resurgence of a demon from his past."
Main plot: Martin Li is a wealthy businessman who also runs a homeless shelter, FEAST. He hates Norman Osborn for failing to hold Peter Scarborough to account for (or just stop) the gulf platform explosion that killed friend Nathan Bowen and gave Li his alter ego after driving to Lake Borgne to physically intervene. He spends the next few years plotting his revenge. When Norman holds a charity event at one of his plazas (that Peter, Harry and Yuri all attend), Li's Inner Demons attack. Later on, once Peter strikes at one of Li's gang hideouts, he finds out that Norman has hired Sable International for protection, which complicates the situation. Li's next move is to attack the Osborn mansion. In spite of it being guarded by Sable's forces, Peter's intervention sees him subdued by Li's powers: he doesn't kill anyone, but his attempts to resist Li render him unable to assist Sable in protecting Norman, which culminates with Li kidnapping him. This really sours relations between Peter and Sable, but they are able to put their differences aside to rescue him and defeat Li in the end.

So obviously that's a lot briefer than my last post, but it should be noted that my idea for the third film suffered from me writing the whole thing out scene-by-scene, resulting in some rather hollow sequences. So what I'm going to spend the next part of this post doing is picking apart each character and the themes that I want to build.

He won me over after featuring in Marvel's Spider-Man. There's even a great opportunity to link him to Cloak & Dagger by revealing that he was another survivor of the explosion.
