This movie is exceptional on its own. Regardless of genre. Such a great mix of horror and comedy. Every actor gives 100% at the very least. And I especially appreciate the scene where the adults come into contact with the demonic jack in the box for the very first time. Their reactions are so genuine. Grown people with children to consider just reacting in full terror to this monstrosity, so good.
This sub and the people outside of it have been lighting fires under Travis Scott's behind for the past month and I'm not saying that's a bad thing because ik Travis definitely deserves the heat he's getting, it's just bothering me that I haven't heard Michael Rapino's name mentioned, ever. I even typed his name in this sub's search and nothing came up. Lots of people don't even know he exists.
Only Live Nation, the company is slammed alongside Travis but never the person behind the company. I didn't even know who the CEO of live nation was till a week after the incident because I had to google who the CEO was myself. I've read PLENTY of astroworld articles and literally 0 of them mentioned Rapino's name.
Michael Rapino has been the CEO of live nation since 2005. Since the time he has been CEO but before the astroworld incident, Live nation has been responsible for 700 injuries and 188+ deaths at their events!!
Live Nation's ineptitude at planning has been pushed in the news (as it should) since astroworld but sooner or later people have to look at and place blame on the person in charge of the operation, right?? I'm glad Chuck D called Rapino out. The mainstream media and newsletters have failed drastically to do so hence why so many people don't even know of his existence. After taking a good look at Rapino, I think I may know why he isn't getting mentioned in mainstream outlets for his part in the astroworld incident like he should be 👀🙄.
Michael Rapino is worth $350M which is over 5x times as much as Travis(Scott's worth will surely drop drastically) and Live Nation's stock has risen since the astroworld incident so their CEO is basically flying under the radar and counting his cash meanwhile Travis is getting slammed on a mainstream level and taking many L's for his part in the astroworld incident.
