A list of puns related to "Metabo"
For anyone who doesn't know the difference this is about their German line, not the hpt China line. I recently purchased a whole line of German made Metabo tools hoping they would live up to their name. I'm going to keep this short, it's just for anyone looking into the tools since there isn't a whole lot about them in North America. The hammer drill, which is around $700 alone burnt out on me twice. First time was a pinched wire on assembly (they sent me pics). Second one I waited over a month for a replacement and reason as to why it happened again and never got any response which is the ultimate reason I chose to return all the tools. I was drilling with a 3" whole saw bit through 2x6 and burnt out the drill after the second whole. Had a battery defective from factory and was still waiting for the replacement to arrive (over 4 months). Batteries are loose in almost every tool and fall off when the tool is knocked around a bit. Noticed on the impact, jigsaw and sawzall says made in china which is very misleading. After some digging through sales reps and such I found out they are using their China factories which produce their much cheaper hpt line to keep up with demand. Sales rep for Ontario is awesome and very helpful. Anyone looking to invest in these tools, with the premium they charge I would be very cautious.
I found what seems like a pretty good deal on a first homeowner type Metabo brushless set at Lowes and was looking for some thoughts on if these would be good for that role. Certainly seems like good value but I don't know much about Metabo beyond what a quick Google search provides
Looking for everyoneβs thoughts on the Metabo 12β slider. I saw they have it on sale at Loweβs for half price. I already have the DeWalt 12β slider, and was thinking Iβd keep one for work and one for the shop.
Iβve never had the chance to use the Metabo, but I like that you donβt need a ton of clearance behind the saw. Was originally planning to get the Bosch glider for the shop.
Any thoughts welcome.
I bought the M18 drill and impact driver, with two 1.5aH for 200 late November. I impulse purchased the 7 piece metabo hpt set today from Lowes for 250. Question is, which is a better option for me?
I won't be using these tools professionally, but i own 40 acres and do a lot of home projects. I had Ryobi before that have been overworked, so need an upgrade.
I am thinking of switching over to the metabo lineup (from ryobi)
This is mostly due to my desire to acquire their battery framing nailer since i've read such great reviews on it. So if i get the framing nailer i might as well go all the way and switch over everything else. the 18-36v multi volt battery lineup seems very cool. I do see pretty much all tools switching over to the 36v shortly so i dont think the fact that these batteries work with the 18volts will be much of a benefit in the near future. I am planning on getting all the 36v models anyway, skill saw, drills, grinders, etc.
Can anyone who uses metabo professionally give me the inside scoop. Thanks in advance!
I'm in the market for a drill for some hobbyist projects and found this deal at Lowes. Is this a good deal and a good tool?
