A list of puns related to "Member states of the Commonwealth of Nations"
Is there any constitutional law speaking against it? Besides xenophobic tendencies of the English population...
"Harborlands, the second wealthiest of the Free Nations, behind only Penn of course. This country of rules the seas and is a producer of the finest artisan wines from rich reds to dry golden vintages."

My headcanons on which of the civilizations in humanity's home network discovered and investigated which precursors civilizations.
The XT-489 Eliminator were the ones to find the remains of the Cybrex, their ruined ringworld, and their War Forge. The Eliminator despise the Cybrex for not finishing the job of exterminating organic life, despite the fact that it would have prevented them from ever existing in the first place.
The Commonwealth of Man were the ones to investigate the artifacts and ruins left behind by the First League and find its ruined ecumenopolis capital of Fen Habbanis III. Once settled, renamed, and restored, Necropolis became the Commonwealth's industrial base and the most populated planet in the Commonwealth. They saw the First League's attempt on interspecies co-existence as proof that xenophilia was indeed a sham and that only humanity was capable of ruling the heavens.
The Irassian Concordant's ruins were found and studied by the United Nations of Earth. It is the greatest irony that the UNE, perhaps the most diplomatic nation in their network, was the one to recover the Javorian Pox Sample in its weaponized form. They have sworn to use it only against the worst of organic enemies: Ravenous hives and fanatical purifiers. They see the xenophobic imperialism of the Irassians as proof that such ideologies result only in division, death, and destruction.
The Lokken Mechanists were the ones to find the remains of the Vultaum Star Assembly, their Reality Perforator, and their research into the possibility that the universe is indeed a simulation. As a rational consensus, they were perhaps the best nation to make this discovery and to benefit from it.
The Yuht Empire's long and solitary reign was uncovered by the Kilik Cooperative. With the fleeting lifespans of the avian Kilik, the Cryo Core came in handy for extending the lifespans of Kilik colonists and crews while in transit.
The story of the Baol and the Last Baol was discovered by the Caretakers. As a species that took their homeworld and turned it from a desert into a verdant paradise, the Maweer have made great usage of the Last Baol and its gift. Every habitable planet in their closed-off empire has been remade into a Gaia world, which has turned out to be both a curse and a bless for the Maweer. Every single one of their worlds is a paradise, drawing the envious eyes of vile, warmongering xenos.
The story of the Zroni and the Psio

I signaled my wish to resign as Deputy PM at the conclusion of the election as the election process began in order to spend more time in hobbies other than gaming. As such, I will also not be one of the Commonwealth's delegates to the Forum for International Diplomacy.
I started to post a few days ago that the real problem with Civclassic currently is copypasta. That statement alone, however, seemed too short and too weak, and I didn't want to be guilty of the posting the same level of drivel as I see posted so often. I do think it stands to reason that copying and pasting the thoughts of others in order to deride them is a pretty sure sign of an incompetent argument. It gives commentators the satisfaction of at least posting something, and may be seen as clever by certain segments of our users, but it also drives away new people who may have something positive to offer our community. It makes the subreddit, the classic place to exchange arguments, information, and ideas, make less sense to the casual observer, and makes it less interesting and more trouble to read for all of us.
This war really has been going for quite some time now. I'd like to point out that the Commonwealth is not involved in this war, and has not been involved in it. While a conflict of this size and duration has included some skirmishes that have drawn in part of our populace, and one major tangential conflict drew in our entire nation for some time, we have not declared war on NATO, despite being allied with Hjaltland in SATO who is also part of Entente, and Yoahtl, also in SATO, who has recently joined UDF. SATO itself has not taken up arms as an alliance. Some think it's because the alliance is weak, but in truth, it's because SATO really is a defensive alliance that has high standards for the declaration of war, sometimes irritatingly high. In any case, certain commentators have argued that the Commonwealth is World Police because we are part of SATO, and SATO is world police because Hjaltland is a member. This is just faulty logic.
The Commonwealth's legal system is famously underdeveloped, as our main ideal is βDon't Be a Dick!β We have a few minor points that mostly concern responsible stewardship of the land, but that's about it. As such we don't have anything that prev

I.e. commonwealth troops would preferably be thrown into the meat grinder before Britons.
I've always been given the impression this was a fairly widespread feeling about the war (though possibly post-hoc) amongst those soldiers. Was there any truth to such a suspicion? Was such a suspicion actually common across the various commonwealth nations?

Today Assange was arrested in the UK. Another news, Internet censorship like Russia/China can become in the UK:
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-to-introduce-world-first-online-safety-laws
Also you can recall about Australian internet-repression laws.
I'm emigrant from Russia to the Canada, and I've ran away from new totalitarian system.
Russia now building "The Great Russia firewall" looks like Chinese "The Great China firewall"/"Golden Shield Project" - today Russian *fake* and controlled by Putin parliament passed a law about "sovereign" internet. Of course they not called it "censorship", they uses "patriotic" and "we need to save children" causes.
Russian The Great Firewall started from "ban any information about suicide - we should save our children", political websites started to block later. Today my former homeland has laws "against insult state and government" and against "fake news" (by fact they want to ban opposition political activity)
But UK do same in the start! UK uses same cause - "safe internet for children" bullshit. Why parents just not buy censorship service from third-party company as application and not install this app in the children's devices? Why other taxpayers should pay for this and give government their Freedoms?
I can't vote in the next Federal elections, I'm just permanent resident. Citizens, please never vote if your candidate not declare that he or she will support internet freedom, it's very important! And always watch what they say - if they say you something about children and internet regulation, please know - it's copy/paste the unconstitutional and unfreedom ideas from Russia!
Now i'm in the frustration, really sad and depression.
We're, in the Canada, in the Commonwealth. Can we expect censorship like my former country - Russia here after few years? Should we cry about peak of Freedom in the World which is left behind?
Can we have a chance to not permit do it again, after China and Russia, and probably UK and Australia here, in the Canada? Can we fight and win freedom of our Internet?
The foreign secretary /u/tommy1boys gave a statement to the house:
>Mr Deputy Speaker,
>Last night, the Iranian Ambassador to the United Kingdom confirmed that the crew of the Stena Impero had been released and were on their way out of Iran. I think it is sometimes important to remember why we got into politics, or at least why I got into politics, and it is to improve peopleβs lives. In the very near future, children will be able to hug their fathers again. Wifes will be able to kiss their husbands, and parents will be able to see their children. I would hope that all those in this house would agree that peopleβs lives are far more important than a vessel and its cargo.
>Mr Deputy Speaker, members of the unofficial opposition may sit geering that, in their own words, we achieved βnothingβ. Well I say saving 23 lives from an Iranian prison is more than nothing, it is what we are in politics for, to help people. We will not give into racist notions that just because they are not British citizens, their interests should not be a clear priority.
>The Iranian Ambassador also set out his Governmentβs position on the release of the cargo. He wishes for progress to be made on bringing France, Germany and the United States back into the JCPOA before the tanker is released. I was clear in my conversation and am clear now, should the tanker not be released upon the date of the summit between the Prime Minister, President Macron and Chancellor Merkel, this Government will not advocate for those countries to rejoin the JCPOA, and we will seriously consider the option of joining the maximum pressure strategy against Iran.
>This country will not respond kindly to blackmail. If Iran wants to see the West take steps to rejoin the nuclear agreement, the Iranians must reverse the illegal seizure of the Stena Impero.
Mr Deputy Speaker,
Hong Kong is an area which, for obvious reasons, we have ties to and will continue to play our part in. Since the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the Peopleβs Republic of China, there have been tensions between Hong Kong, often itβs people rather than its government, and China. Since last March, these have reached ahead with large scale demonstrations against the Chinese Government influence in Hong Kong and against its own executive.
A series of events, including protests within the Legislative Council of Hong Kong during a speech from Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, led to another outbreak of protests this weekend. On November 11 a protestor was shot in the chest by a policeman at a crossroad when trying to approach the policeman who was trying to detain another protestor. The protestor lays in critical condition in a hospital. A pro-Beijing protestor was set on fire by protestors on the same day, he too is in critical condition in a hospital. We call on both the Chinese / Hong Kong authorities and protesters to show restraint in these troubling times, although we understand why protesters are so passionate about the issues they are campaigning on. This Government stands with the peaceful protesters in Hong Kong simply seeking such basic human rights as the right of self-determination and democracy.
The Chief Executiveβs reaction to reporters about these incidents was that βWe [the Hong Kong Executive] will spare no effort in finding ways and means that could end the violence in Hong Kong as soon as possible.β Let me be clear, these are words we expect to be upheld through dialogue between authorities and pro-democracy protest leaders.
This Government condemns the actions taken by the police of Hong Kong in shooting the protesters and the way the Hong Kong Executive have continuously poorly handled this situation. We also condemn the setting on fire of a pro-Beijing protestor. We call upon the Chinese Government, the Hong Kong Executive and the protestors in Hong Kong to seek common grounds which can allow for an end to the scenes of violence we have seen on the streets of Hong Kong.
I commend this statement to the House.
