When i was like 10, i hated my tooth gap because of how it looked, and a few months back (i’m almost 16 now) I got an opportunity to get the tooth gap closed, but I didn’t do it. It was a few thousand dollars, and even if it wasn’t, i still probably wouldn’t have done it, I’m not me without my tooth gap, and Melanie Martinez is the person who helped me realize it really isn’t that bad, I didn’t really know a single other person who had this gap (besides my dad and my grandmother) and as far as I know, she is one of the only big celebrities with a tooth gap (besides Willem Dafoe and Eddie murphy), there are a few others too but most have a small gap, while my tooth gap is more like Melanie’s

I'm clearly remembering Whisky is still Whisky in a sippy cup, but after hearing it say syrup today i can't find anything about it at all when i search for those lyrics, it's all Syrup in a sippy cup.
But look at the lyrics, they make more sense if you replace syrup with whisky, whisky rhymes with sippy and the following line makes more sense.
"And syrup is still syrup in a sippy cup"
"He's still dead when you're done with the bottle"

So, during quarantine I went through a HUGE Melanie Martinez phase, and I remember K-12 tiktoks and Portuguese/English Melanie Martinez videos being all over my recommended. Anyways—on these tiktoks, they would have some where people tried to recreate the Show and Tell dance, some would actually try and do the chorus part, and some didn’t even try at all. This ticked off the comments section, and tons of crybabies would make comments judging these dancing tiktoks saying— “This isn’t accurate!” “They didn’t even try” “This is the only acceptable one!” There would also be hate on certain cosplayers who would put black marker in between their front teeth to create a gap, and some cosplays were… not the best considering it. A lot of people were angry at that too and took to the comments section to express their dissatisfaction about it.
I realize a year later that those comments people made were very toxic, considering most people at that time were just trying to have fun and be themselves on the platform.
I don’t see many K-12 videos anymore, I feel like the fandom kind of died out after “After School” came out. I still do miss all those videos reporting on Melanie’s unreleased songs, theories about the next album/movie, etc. They were very popular during quarantine and tbh I miss it a lot.
So, do y’all remember this? Or is it just me who observed this toxicity in the comments?
Last night I dreamed that MM3 came out early and Melanie Martinez was at my house and we were watching the film together. She was super nice and cute and we were like best friends!!!
As for the film, I remember the DVD/album cover having alot of pink on it, and pictures of green leaves. I didn't pay attention to what the title was. In the opening scene, I think Angelita was fighting someone 0_0
