A list of puns related to "Martial industrial"
Here's the closing martial industrial and power electronics set from TOTAL WAR - DUBLIN's club ight on 17/ 12/ 21 in Dublin. Includes Les Joyaux De La Princesse, Alberich, Smell & Quim, Masonna, Sadio, Green Army Fraction, and others.
Hey all,
Since these types of questions seem to inevitably turn into inane political debates on music subreddits, I thought Iβd ask here: does anyone know of any anti-fascist (or at the very least non-fascist) martial industrial? I know about the Antifascist Neofolk website, but Iβm looking for some drummier stuff. Opinions on Rome seem to be mixed. Thanks!
While there were earlier touches of Martial Industrial (MI) by Neofolk and Industrial groups (NON and Death in June to name a couple), I'd say as a genre it started with Les Joyaux de la princesse and The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud in the late 80's/Early 90's. But in the mid-2000's there was a veritable explosion of MI acts. Any schmo with some drum samples and historical speech recordings could put out an album and people would lap it up. The genre dried up, there was no longer innovation, just more of the same over and over.
I suspect this is partially why so many of the mainstay artists quit or pivoted their sound drastically away from MI. Der Blutharsch went the psych-rock road, Dernière Volonté went the electropop road, Nordvargr quit his Toroidh side-project. About the only mainstay artist still producing standard MI albums into the 2020's is Arditi, and it feels like they've been focusing more and more time on their Ritual Nordic Folk (RNF) project Leidungr.
Right now it feels like a new RNF album comes out every month. Just now I'm listening to the new album by Danheim that came out on YouTube Music today, and there's no way I could tell the difference between it and several of the other RNF albums that have come out recently.
I love Wardruna, and really appreciate that they essentially spawned a great genre, and have also been innovating in it as well (Skald was fabulous). I just wish these other groups would try more to distinguish themselves in the genre rather than producing a sound that is indistinguishable from 5 other bands. That's how you kill a genre.
Following the discussion on r/DJs about mixing not being what it used to be. Id LOVE to get to get taken on a journey by a really good mix that had more thought put into it than sorting by tempo*. Im not a dj, just a relatively new consumer of mixes.
I like a melodramatic feel, sad bordering onΒ Β depression, hypersexual or a delicate spiritual awakening if that makes any sense.
*I have great respect for ppl who invest their time in searching for good music, i certainly dont have the stamina to do it. But im mostly interested in experiencing an entirely curated emotional flow, not just the music picks sorted by tempo.
EXTREMELY RARE BOOK Battlenoise: The Blows of Martial Industrial
The book caused a bit of an uproar in the concerned circles and after Albin Julius of Der Blutharsch threatened to sue for copyright violation, the book was withdrawn from circulation.
Only several copies left, the one of which is for sale now.
Very good condition. Hardcover.
PRICE: $500
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 65%. (I'm a bot)
> Myanmar security forces opened fire on anti-coup protesters in the commercial capital Yangon on Sunday, and at least three people were killed, witnesses and domestic media said.
> Civilian leader Mahn Win Khaing Than, who is on the run along with most of the country's senior officials, called on the people to not give up their fight.
> At least two people were killed elsewhere in the Southeast Asian nation, a day after the acting leader of the parallel civilian government said it will seek to give people the legal right to defend themselves.
> He said the civilian government would "Attempt to legislate the required laws so that the people have the right to defend themselves" against the military crackdown.
> In Yangon, hundreds of people demonstrated in different parts of the city after putting up barricades of barbed wire and sandbags to block security forces.
> In one area, people staged a sit-in protest under sheets of tarpaulin rigged up to protect them from the harsh midday sun.

Hi, I'm making a playlist for my next neo-folk night. At midnight there will be a live band who will pass out audio visual devices to the audience so that they can baptize themselves in the immediate experience of creating
noise
I'm looking for songs that have a military feel like stuff by Triarii and WINTER EAGLE by Death in June. I want the audience to feel like I'm screaming at them with someone else's voice about going to war, but they'll just be sitting there with mixed drinks thinking about how they have to go to work the next day. I would really appreciate your suggestions because I'm not sure where to start and a lot of it is really repetitive and I have to fill three hours. Anything that vaguely resembles martial industrial is fine, including neo-folk and surrounding genres.

Is neo folk and Martial industrial allowed on here or is it banned or just certain bands I didn't know if it was or not because of the far left and right wing political views a lot of the bands have?
i do muaythai and brazilian jiu-jitsu and im thinking about getting a industrial.
im mostly concerned about doing jiu-jitsu while it heals as there is alot of ground work and rolling involved.
can anyone who has experience in jiu-jitsu/judo etc tell me more?
I'm looking for something with both the experimental feel of martial industrial and ritual ambient and the acoustic/composed neofolk sound (like Thunder Perfect Mind). Some of the earlier Current 93 have a version of this.
Not necessarily Anarchist, anything in the bottom left quadrant of the political compass is fine by me.
specifically, i like: neurosis, sleepytime gorilla museum, idiot flesh, butthole surfers, jesus lizard, peter brotzmann, albert ayler, sun ra, somatic responses, merzbow, autechre, etc etc...
Anyone tried tripping while listening to Triarii or something like that? I think it can give some interesting experiences, like on MDMA or something like that. Probably, classical music can give interesting experience, also. What do you think? Example of this:
