A list of puns related to "Madagascar (franchise)"
Each of the fighters will be motivated by reward so they will be willing fight to the death--and this is a fight to the death.
Scrat has canonically lived through and been resurrected from events that should have killed him, so while he may not be immortal I do believe that his resilience against death should be taken into account. Due to Mort being of a near-immortal species, Scrat will be allowed to have items (that he's used in the franchise before) and one support fighter: Scratte (In this scenario they are not enemies as they have a common enemy).
Scrat will have access to his acorn (obviously).
Scratte can only be called in once. If she becomes immobilized or dies, she will be out of the fight.
Each of the fighters will be motivated by reward so they will actually be willing fight to the death. I feel that the most fair arena would be in a moderately forested place isolated by sheer cliffs on every side since both are exceptionally agile.
The winner does not have to physically kill the other by their own hand (although Scratte herself is not allowed to deliver a killing blow to Mort). Falling to their death, being drowned, causing a medical emergency in the opponent (ie. a heart attack), etc. are all fair game.
Who would win?
Apparently there was going to be a Madagascar 4. It was supposed to be released in May 2018. Don't know what happened to it now, I'll do more research.
What's really interesting about Madagascar is that the series went from the first one being rotten, the sequel being fresh, and the third and (presumably) final movie being certified fresh. I don't know if any other franchise has had such an upswing over time. I wasn't a huge fan of the first two but I remember watching the third one and thinking it was surprisingly good and a satisfying conclusion to a pretty ludicrous story.
I went ahead and thought of CFP National title winners:
Alabama: mcu and marvel properties. Have always been around but exploded in success and dominance with a decisive beginning of its current form in the early 2000s. 2007- Nick Saban to Bama, 2008- Iron man. As dominant as they have been lately just go ahead and give them the entire umbrella disney label.
Ohio State: DCEU and DC properties. Historically, was a bit more of the successful program PRE Saban/MCU. Our best/peak (the dark knight trilogy) feels like forever ago. Everyone knows and has an opinion about them... usually not overwhelmingly positive if you ask "whats youre opinion of the DCEU". Comparing modern film properties and its clearly inferior. But theyre clearly adapting and TRYING to get better and replicate marvel (Shazam, james gunn suicide squad).
Clemson: Game of Thrones properties. Immensely and surprisingly successful, more so in the last decade overall than DC properties. Different flavor than the superhero two and thats refreshing for some folks. Extremely polarizing, especially in later seasons. We are waiting its return to glory (spinoffs) but you recognize the main actors everywhere these days.
Georgia: Star wars. Large gaps between greatness, but otherwise solid product. Recently, when they have been at their best (The Force Awakens) they are reminded how long ago it was since they were truly "great". Very successful property. Right person, right day, a star wars fan's passion takes them all. Generally well liked, even when they underacheive high expectations (solo) they bounce back when u least expect it (disney plus series)
LSU: Dreamworks movies. Youll occassionally put out a banger like Shrek, how to train your dragon, madagascar, but for the most part we dont know where to put you. Boss baby, bee movie, megamind... we get it youre edgy and can produce thought invoking, surprisingly good content. But you made a sequel to trolls. Youre irresponsible people and you know it. Part of you wants to watch the world burn if you can stick it to Disney, doesnt it?
Madagascar 3 made almost $750 million in 2012, the highest if the franchise. Sure the Penguins spin-off under-performed but that shouldn't take from the success of the original films. There was a sequel set to release in 2018, but it was dropped "due to corporate restructuring". Croods 2 was also removed from schedule at one point, but now it's back with a release date. But nothing of Madagascar 4.
With all the Madagascar penguins memes circulating lately, is there perchance a subreddit dedicated to them or the franchise in general?
I'm looking for big franchises and sagas where the movies are linked together where the events of one movie affect the others.
And movies where their sequels have a good quality compared to the original
It can be films of any genre (I would also like animation franchises and horror films, I know few)
Some of the best franchises in my opinion
All 007 by Daniel Craig - Lord of the Rings Extended Version and Hobbit - Fast and Furious - MCU - X Men - Star Wars - Indiana Jones - Batman (Last Trilogy) - Planet of the Apes - Ocean's Eleven - Jason Bourner - Mission Impossible - Spider man - John Wick β Scream - Toy story - Kung fu panda - How To Train Your Dragon - Cars β Sherk - Ice age - Despicable Me- Madagascar- Maze runner - Hunger games - Harry potter and fantastic beasts - Mad max
What big suggestions do you give?
