I’m trying to go with best bang for buck. Deciding between Mac Mini i5, Mac Mini i7, or the Mac Mini M1. I see that the M1 is the cheapest, however, I also notice that a lot of third party plugin companies are still working on compatibility with Big Sur and the M1 in general. But on the flip side, Apple looks to be transitioning to their own processors in the future, so I don’t want to buy an Intel based Mac Mini that will be obsolete in like 5+ years. What are some setups that you guys are running with these three choices? I really like the M1, but the compatibility issues scare me.
I am trying to use the Get & Transform tools to merge several workbooks in Excel (I'm running Excel for Mac ver 16.48) but I can't figure out how to import data from files. The data tab only has an option get external data (which has the options from Text, HTML, Database Query). I know it's possible at least on PC I can't imagine why it wouldn't also be possible on mac. Does anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone know another way of taking many workbooks and combining them into one massive worksheet?

Question is pretty much the title, do you use eclipse or does anyone have anything better?
i can install the plugins up to the point where im in pro tools and it is saying that the keyfile(s) are invalid for every single one. im using the 2020.12 crack or whatever. please help! is there any other version that could work? i havent found any other version for mac. i just wanna use valhalla plate and vint verb and i dont use any other daw except pro tools (which the key files worked in logic as well, so its something with my pro tools)
I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of developing something that allows you to develop something else. My first ever ”larger-scale” project was an HTML/CSS/JS editor for iPhone/iPad and I absolutely loved everything about the development process.
Having worked in Xcode for so long, I loved being able to implement and design my own editor (really loved styling the syntax highlighting and line numbers to my liking, prior to adding a feature that allowed users to customize it to their own preference).
Little bit off topic, but I also got to design my own variation of Swift syntax for a framework that a friend and I are building (generates native, type-safe Swift functions from a TypeScript project that can make calls to the JavaScript code from within a WKWebView) – I really loved that... I think I’m just weird like that? I don’t know.
Anywho, I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the Swift community regarding any lack of development tools that you’d like to see on the iOS (or Mac) App Store(s). It’s always been a passion of mine for a very long time now and the last one I built was years ago! I’ve been looking for a new side-project to keep myself busy with over the summer. Even if there are other similar projects like it out there, are they perhaps missing any features that you’d like to see or would find helpful?

Good day! I'm a student and we are required to make a custom tool palette for an assignment. I searched for tutorials for Mac, but i can't find one regarding tool palettes. I also found out in the forums that AutoCAD 2017 for Mac doesn't have the feature. Is the tool palette feature available on AutoCAD for Mac, and if it is, how can I access it?
I switch back and forth between Mac and Windows Pro Tools, and would love a way to make my Windows key commands similar to the Mac ones as I feel they are more ergonomic.
Is there a simple way to do this? I downloaded Key Remapper last night and switched ctrl, windows key, and alt to my liking, but it was very buggy and didn't work well.
Any other suggestions?
A simple and often asked question, but what would you prefer? Let's say a commercial studio wanted to do a new post room, they decided to go for pro tools and they have to buy a computer. They then asked my preference.
20 and 10 years ago I would have had no problems and tell them to buy mac. Nowadays I'm not so sure anymore and I'd still prefer mac for an only pro tools rig but I'd guess they'd have their good reasons in pushing for a pc only studio.
What would you guys prefer and why?
