A list of puns related to "Daemon Tools"
I saw various threads about Daemon Tools installing adware/malware and they are very hard to remove? Is it still true? What other software can I use to read .mdf files?
Hi I wanted to mount .iso file on windows 7 (which doesnβt support it) so I needed a program for that. Daemon Tools has a lot of adware in it. Does anyone have a good replacement? Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I discovered an .iso for Encarta98 on https://archive.org/ and have been trying to install it after mounting it on a virtual drive.
After toggling "Developer Mode" and trying to run the .EXE in Compatibility Mode as Administrator, I am still continuing to get this error; "This App Can't Run on Your PC"
OS: Windows 10
All the apps are up to date, and the software was designed for Windows 95
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
(EDIT) DAEMON TOOLS 10 not 5 title is mistake
it retries 5 times then comes to a page saying: Downloading setup files failed.

That's an image of what it says, not sure if that link will work on reddit, should do.
I dont think its being blocked by firewall.
Any help would be appreciated.
I just installed ReWASD but now I found out that it is from the same company as daemon tools. Because of daemon tools shady past with malware/adware included should I be worried? (If you don't know what it is, it allows you to use controllers such as dualshock 4 and joycons for games) I did a scan but nothing came up, anyone know if ReWASD is safe to use?
I reinstalled it and restarted a couple of times, and uninstalled avast as well.
Is there a way to find out what program is blocking it from launching?
I'm not good with this kind of stuff, so I decided to come here to ask for some help. I used to have Daemon Tools Lite on my PC and after I looked some stuff up about it, I saw some people say that Daemon Tools Lite installs adware/malware on your computer, while also seeing some people say that it is completely safe. My motherboard programmer installer (Asus) recommended me to download Daemon Tools Lite, so I thought it was safe. I haven't seen any adware/malware or any strange behavior on my PC. I haven't seen any weird programs in Control Panel either. My CPU percentage has been acting fine and I don't see any weird things in Processes/Services in Task Manager. Unfortunately, I can't run a full scan with Windows Security. I don't have the best CPU, so when I run a full scan, the CPU percentage jumps straight up to 100% within the first few seconds. I have uninstalled Daemon Tools Lite and it wasn't hard to do. Though I do think my PC if completely fine, I still uninstalled it out of fear and now I am here.
Some other info:
Other than installing it and opening it, I have never actually used Daemon Tools Lite.
Upon opening Daemon Tools Lite, it prompts you for an email and I don't think it allows you to continue unless you do that. If I remember correctly, it needed my email for a license or something. I never put in my email.
I use Windows 10.
I built my computer. It wasn't pre-built.
If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. If you have any questions, please ask.
I tried to crack a game and it didn't work, so, I've started to look for basic knowledge of cracking games and there were some videos talking about ISO files and Daemon Tools. Since I'm a beginner at this I have no idea of what is this, and by searching it, all I've got was a tutorial on how to download these tools. Can anybody explain what ISO files and Daemon are and how it works?
Does Daemon Tools Lite still install malware? I just installed it and then I read online a lot of complaints..... should I be worried?
Hi All. I use Daemon Tools for Mac to mount music CD disc images stored as mdf/mds archives. However it looks like there is going to be quite a delay while the devs rewrite the program for Big Sur. Can anybody recommend an alternative? I don't want to burn the images, just mount them as virtual drives.
I have read in the past that these archives can be renamed to ISO and mounted, but my mac will not read them after a rename. TIA
