I recently got some official UFC fight gloves as a gift and I was wondering if they might be good heavy bag gloves or even sparring gloves.
I’m wondering when you do need gloves what are the best type to use?
MT is a sport that for both historical (through the Muay Boran hand wraps) and stylistic reasons make sense to incorporate 4oz gloves,
However do you prefer the more traditional Boxing glove style?
From my understanding, we would see:
- More palm strikes; fewer punches
- More submissions; fewer knockouts
- More wrist injuries; fewer concussions
Your thoughts on this would be appreciated
I just recently started going to an mma gym near by. have a heavybag session coming up. I was asked to buy karate gloves for practice. But I've seen seniors use mma gloves and it had better protection around the wrist unlike karate ones. Which should I choose? What weight should the gloves be? I weigh about 87kgs(191pounds)

I know there is Muay Thai with MMA gloves, so I was curious if there is also in other modalites that use boxing gloves. Since it's more realistic.
As the titles says, I need new gloves for sparring. I tried out Green Hill, Venum and Everlast. Price should be within 50-60€ and the Seller/Brand must be shipping to germany.

Is it common to spar in KM with MMA gloves? Coming from kickboxing i feel like thin mma gloves could injure your sparring partner.
