A list of puns related to "Lutino cockatiel"
I was feeling kind of bad for some time now because my 2 tiels seem to be sad. I have one of them for more than an year and the other one for 6 months. The first one is almost tamed (steps up, knows his name, says hi when I go into the room), the other one is not tamed. They cry a lot and anything I give them for a snack doesn't cheer them up, only the bird sounds from other cocktails that I play for them. This has been going on for some months now. The small apartment I live in doesn't seem to give them the space they would need for flying. They just sit on the top of their cage all day. If I place a mirror near them then they stay in front of it all day. I called a zoo that is not far away and they would gladly accept the birbs as they have a big area just for cockatiels. I feel that this would be a better life for my feathered friends. Does anyone know how they would adapt in a more bigger bird populated place? I am afraid that maybe the other tiels will beat them? I just want them to be happy and safe and to be able to fly more - I couldn't provide them all this and they deserve it π thanks
Title.
Adopting a 5 months old baby who is suspected to be male by behavior, just want to make sure if there's any way to tell the little guy (or girl)'s gender even though it hasn't had its first molt thus far?

Here's a clip just in case. Though not much is visible (wings etc) lol
I really love lutino cockatiels and in doing research about them, found out that they have some genetic issues, most common being their bald spots. I've also read that they tend to be clumsier and might have more night terrors?? Could anyone with a lutino please share their experience so I know if I should get a different color?
Hi, my 2.5 yr old lutino cockatiel has flewn away from my house. I am deeply devastated and soing everything I can from contacting vets to posting on craiglist and putting out flyers to find my dear bird back. He has a yellow/white body with yellow face and orange/red cheek. Last seen at Milpitas, CA 95035 near Dixon Landing Park. He is tame but scared of new objects and new humans. Please contact me at (925) 353-7708 if you seen this bird.
On new years day my pet cockatiel flew outside i already asked reddit but to no response when it happened has anyone found a lutino cockatiel in Indiana? please
I recently got a lutino baby, they wonβt be ready to come home for around a month. I noticed he/she has a bald spot which I thought was kind of cute, but I read online this is the result of inbreeding and that lutinos have weakened immune systems and are more prone to health problems as well as temperament issues. Has anyone who has a lutino experienced this? I will love them no matter what but I want to be as informed as possible to make sure I can take care of them the best I can.
The pet store says a DNA test is needed to sex a lutino.
I have had my female cockatiel for about 8 months now. I got her when she was super young, possibly 2 months or so? Not 100% sure.
Anyway, when I first had her she was quiet, relaxed and took to me immediately. I couldnβt have her out without her rushing my arm and chirping and relaxing for hours! Then when I wanted her off I didnβt have any trouble getting her to step up. Obviously thatβs typical baby behavior, I get it.
Around August, that all changed. Since then she will now bite out of nowhere and itβs a a frenzy of scared, angry bites.
For instance, sheβll approach my hand for scratches and I will be scratching her for minutes on end. All is calm, no change in body language, anything, and then BAM screeching and biting out of nowhere. Sometimes she will be sitting on my shoulder, totally calm β beak grinding ensued moments ago β while Iβm chatting with my friend, watching tv, reading or whatever and out of nowhere, BAM, another biting frenzy on my cheek.
And forget about her stepping up off of my shoulder easily anymore. Thatβs an entire new battle.
She is molting, I will say that, but I just feel like this canβt all be the result of molting.
She has a healthy diet of occasional fruits, lots of veggies, and mostly pellet. She has tons of toys, a play set and gets about 10 hours of sleep a night (to the BEST of my ability)
I work from home 3 days a week and she is out the entire time. On days I am not home working, I try to take her out before I leave and I always take her out and eat dinner with her and watch a movie before her bedtime.
Just need some advice on what you think could be the issue. I can totally give more info if needed. Any help or tips I could try would be so appreciative.
To be fair, this maybe happens like once a day! Iβm not afraid of her or anything, in fact I love her to bits and she really is a sweet, loving bird! Just want to make her life as happy as possible and make sure Iβm not doing anything to upset her.
Thanks!!
