A list of puns related to "London (punk band)"
Singer wanted for melodic punk rock band. Music for album written and demoed.
FFO: Face to Face, Rise Against, Dillinger Four, Alkaline Trio, Jawbreaker, Good Riddance, No Use For A Name.
Hi there,
I'd love to put a band together though I'm not in contact with anyone who can play drums, bass or the guitar. Obvious inspirations would be TSSF, Neck Deep, Bearings etc
Based in LONDON, UK!
GUITARIST WANTED
I have started a new Heavy Punk Rock band and I am looking for a Rhythm guitarist. I already have a bass player and drummer. I am a guitarist and singer and have lots of songs ready as a starting off point, and am open to all ideas for music. Examples of the new music I have written available on request.
I was a lead guitarist in a heavy rock band for many years, I had a 2-year break from the guitar but since 2020 I have found my passion for playing again in a big way. I have written new material that I am really happy with and decided to start a new Heavy Punk Rock band with a lot of energy. I love playing live and really get a buzz from it, but I would also really like to record an album within the next 12 months and getting a professional recording out there, to look back on and be proud of.
My previous band was Monster Fight, you can check out videos on our facebook page facebook(dot)com/MONSTERFIGHTBAND
Bands I like: QOTSA, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, The Atomic Bitchwax, Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down, Mastodon, Green Day, Metallica, Deftones, Iron Maiden, Muse (Early stuff), Royal Blood, The Mysterines, Yur Mum.

I made a post about British musical chauvinism (as a form of anti-Americanism and music culture appropriation) a while ago, and this is the kind of thing Iβm talking about.
Itβs easily Googled that New York Dolls, Television, The Ramones, The Stooges, etc, came before British punk like The Sex Pistols, and yet the article twice states that βBritish punk inspired a punk rock music surgeβ in New York after claiming that βPunk traces its roots to 1970s London, although some argue that it started in New York simultaneouslyβ. I canβt even BELIEVE that.
What is up with Brits and their βwe invented rock musicβ cultural appropriation and revisionism? Seriously, what the hell?
Edit: WOW you guys covered me, Iβm gonna have a long weekend!
I'm going to be in London from NYC this weekend working on a story on London's punk scene, historically and currently. Are there any punk clubs (other than the obvious like The 100 Club, Electric Ballroom, etc.) or any current bands I should reach out to?
Alternatively, if you're plugged into the scene, shoot me a messageβwould love to chat, I've had no luck so far, ahaha.
UPDATE: Iβm at work so slow to respond and canβt reply to everybody right bow, but really appreciating all the answersβkeep βem coming and thank you so much, everybody!
Hey all,
We are a new pop punk band consisting of a bassist and drummer and we are seeking a guitarist and a lead singer to complete our outfit.
We have 2 demos and are writing more. We would like to go into the studio and produce a 4 or 5 song EP as well as rehearse so we can begin playing live when it is possible again.
Influences include: Blink 182 Paramore Fall Out Boy A Day to Remember Rise Against Bring me the horizon
If you like what you hear please get in touch with any work or demos of yourself you have!

Thanks
I'm trying to expand my punk rock repertoire find some female punk bands that I should listen to.
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions, I have a lot of listening to do
I've been listening to a lot of Ska punk recently like rancid, the interrupters, the mighty mighty bosstones , Ska p etc. What else could I listen to?
So, I know punk isnt exclusive to dudes... but it feels like it sometimes. Any recommendations?
Hey y'all, I manage a touring punk rock band. Every time they perform live, the overwhelming reaction is βholy shit, theyβre actually really hype!" We appreciate that, but it means our branding is falling short. Concerts are where the band is supposed to deliver on months of fan initiation, where fans say βhell yea this is what I came for!" Ultimately, the content that fans see leading up to a performance is just not doing the job of showing how punchy and mean they are, which means our content isn't even attracting the right fans.
I'm trying to figure out how our visual content can be punchier and meaner. I'd really appreciate your insights. So far the only ideas I have are to have more daring/aggressive postures... but this feels kinda gimmicky. I'm wondering if there are other ways I can frame all this energy?
(EDIT: ideas for non-performance shots are also really useful!)
Hey thanks for all the comments!!
I would be grateful for you guyβs input in listing your opinions about which band takes the prize as the hardest hardcore punk band.
My three favorite super-hard punk bands are:
Capitalist Casualties : Anything
Chaos UK : Burning Britain EP
Discharge : Realties of War EP
Honorable Mention : A band that sounds quite similar to Discharge - GBH or as the press call them Charged GBH. Discharge gets my vote for hardest punk band and they are quite prolific, too.
Edit: I am removing my #1 band and replacing them with the Japanese Hardcore Punk band βNapalm.β Those bastards jumped to the top slot unparalleled as being totally punk and super hardcore.
I want some freak flag music. What bands got you thinking about music differently? A friend inadvertently got me on Yves Tumor. I love it. I saw Peaches live 14 years ago, I get down to Aphex Twin as well as Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. If it is interesting music, I will check it out. Hit me with your best shot.............
Both bands best material is melodic punk, both bands have been on independent and major labels, and both bands are great (in my opinion), I just don't get how (musically speaking) one is well respected and one isn't (by the punk community). Obviously Bad Religion has more punk cred because their guitarist formed Epitaph but I mean, musically speaking, what's so different? Both bands in their heyday made great melodic punk albums, and yet they are held in different regard for some reason? Is it just because one is more popular therefore that band is instantly deemed worse? As I said I love both bands, it's just that a lot of elitist punks hate one band and love the other, and I'm genuinely curious why? (please don't downvote, I'm here for a friendly discussion).
Some examples of bands I like (pop punk and others):
You do not need to be good!
we are into Richard hell, The Stooges, Television, bad brains, minor threat, fugazi, Black flag siouxsie and the banshees, gang of four, Ramones, the modern lovers, lou reed, Dead Kennedy's and Buzzcocks I play the drums and i got a mate who plays guitar.
(we are 19)
We are looking for a singer and bass guitarist.
My favorite is Green Day
Currently listening to State Champs
Edit: Now listening to Chunk! No Captain Chunk!
Edit: Now listening to The Wonder Years
Here are some recent bands that I've listened to (in case you were curious):
Cartel
Hit the Lights
Sugarcult
The Academy Is...
Something Corporate
The Starting Line
Neck Deep
Every Avenue
Man Overboard
Relient K
Plain White T's
Son of Dork
Foxboro Hottubs
The Used
Alkaline Trio
Breaking Benjamin
Motion City Soundtrack
P.S. I will take band suggestions to add to my list!
