A list of puns related to "Little Shop of Horrors (film)"
These are two of my favorite films. They are pretty similar in terms of style and energy so I was looking for more movies like these. Preferably a bit older, like before 1990. My favorite part of these films is how they donβt take themselves too seriously but the humor isnβt crass or over the top βsillyβ. Also, the element of sci-fi/fantasy is really great.
Hi internet!
Iβm Eric, and my company is Puppet Kitchen: https://www.puppetkitchen.com/.
Since 2008, Iβve designed and built puppets in just about every puppetry style there is (someday Iβll get to Vietnamese Water Puppetry). Iβve made over 1000 puppets, big and small, for BuzzFeed, H&M, IBM, and Nickelodeon. Iβve performed on Sesame Street, Helpsters, and the Muppets at the Macyβs Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Hereβs a two-person unicorn puppet I designed: https://www.wmagazine.com/story/thom-browne-unicorn-trend-peak-spring-2018-paris-fashion-week/
Iβve also worked as a puppet director, wrangler, and consultant. Before the pandemic put us on pause, I was performing as Audrey II in Off-Broadwayβs Little Shop of Horrors: https://www.theatreartlife.com/artistic/eric-wright-puppeteer/

AMA!
Probably the best horror musical ever! With an Evil-Dead esque style, and an all star 1980's cast(Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, John Candy, Jim Belushi), this movie is a can't miss for horror and musical fans. Even though the cross-section of those two genres is pretty small, if you enjoy either check it out! I actually grew up with this movie/play because my parents loved it, but as a kid I missed a lot of the nuance. For instance I completely missed the drug addicted sadist upset by a masochist bit. Anyway, its a fun watch that I'm sure a lot of you havent seen. Free on HBO Max atm, please enjoy!
Copyright wise what are my options? Must I change distinguishing features/names? I want to use the actual plant in my novel.
I just saw the musical for the first time yesterday going in blind (had never seen either film), LOVED it so much it immediately made me want to watch the film until I realised the ending is completely different and they cut out some of the very best songs (I loved Now/It's the Gas) which change the entire message of the film and how Seymour is portrayed. I'm gutted as I was really looking forward to showing it to my fiance. Are there any official releases of the stage version on video, a la Cats or Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat??
I heard they were making one so when is it
I just finished the movie and before I go into detail, if you havenβt seen the movie yet you absolutely need to.
I was scrolling through HBO max and decided to browse the horror section. It was down between Nightmare on Elm Street which is the best in my opinion, or Lost Boys. Then I came across Little Shop of Horrors.
I went into this movie with no expectations and was completely unaware that it was a musical. Iβve always heard itβs a great movie and I seen Rick Moranis on the cover.
Itβs such a great and campy movie. I love how they made the dentist/greaser portrayed .
Bill Murrayβs scene had me laughing loudly .
The music was catchy. As great as Rocky Horror is, this sits on the shelf next to it.
The story itself is interesting as well. I could definitely watch it again.
