I discovered Wikipedia has a list of almost all the tornado outbreaks in North America and I've been slowly going through the page over the last few days.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_North_American_tornadoes_and_tornado_outbreaks

It's actually been a really great learning experience. I had no idea that the first "tornado forecast" was spurred from a tornado that struck Tinker AFB in 1948. A tornado struck on March 20th, which they were caught off guard from. Two people on the base determined it would be hard, but possible, to issue a tornado forecast. On March 25th, they calculated that the conditions were forecast to be the same as March 20th, matching up conditions with the then Weather Bureau and were able to prevent more massive damage.

I have a newspapers.com account and I've also found old articles on accounts of tornadoes. It's incredibly fascinating.

The first tornado on the list was in Rowlett Tx and I loved there during that time, that was my first personal experience. My mom is a realtor and sold a house in Rowlett, 2 days later the tornado ruined the home. Crazy youtube.com/watch?v=bO0Gp…
