A list of puns related to "List of unsolved problems in computer science"
Thanks. Trying to use what i learned in linear algebra to apply to python.
International student from India planning to apply for Masters in CS Fall 2020. Does anyone have a list of scores required, and whether any university has category-wise requirement (say, min. 22 in Reading etc.)?
What are some list of Ivy League schools that offer 2nd bachelors in Computer Science or Software Engineering?
Im unsure if this counts as homework help as I only need just 1 word of inspiration for a topic to chose for my coursework, but if this gets removed that's fair enough.
I need to write an essay on either
Control and data abstractions. Discuss the use and suitability of different control and/or data abstractions on a problem of your choice
Your own topic: a problem of your choice
Last term I did an essay on the game Scotlands yard, the problem being to find good algorithms to win the game. This time round im not so sure.
I suck at inspiring myself as it turns out. What are some interesting topic areas i could perhaps dabble in? I just need some inspiration for this really, as im pretty unsure what to write about.
Thanks for any ideas!

have you ever sat down with any of the unsolved problems and actively tried to solve it? if you have done it, what made you give up on it? and how far did you go?
hell maybe at some point you thought you could score yourself a cool mil from the clay mathematics institute.
Comp sci is obviously incredibly competitive so my parents urged me to list my major as mathematics or statistics instead and then transfer. I donβt wanna go in undeclared because I hear u miss out on a lot of benefits. Is this a good idea?
I am frustrated just reading the standard text books.
I want to read more research papers relating to Computer Science this year.
I assume there are at least a few research fellows here who can recommend some good reads.
I will appreciate your recommendations along with sources.
Top 10 lists are also welcomed.
EDIT: I would like to thank everyone who (has recommended/ will recommend) Research Papers and other reads on this post. I did not expect such overwhelming recommendations. Hopefully these will keep me busy for the upcoming months.

I know that Eric mentioned quite a few times that the hard sciences are safe, for the moment, from this super leftist identity politics business. I think most people would share that intuition, so I am curious what you guys think about these recent papers which seem to imply that is not the case.
I'm sure everyone has heard about the paper "Making Black Women Scientists under White Empiricism: The Racialization of Epistemology in Physics". Of course the media, especially more conservative leaning media, has blown what she is actually saying way out of proportion, though it is still an odd thing to see a physicist write (though she is also involved in her university's gender studies department). I thought this was a really odd one off, something that we will likely not see again, until I saw Nature post a paper written by sixteen scientists, claiming that we need to stop using the term Quantum Supremacy because it has racist overtones.
This is clearly absurd and leads me to believe that there is something else going on. Is Taco Bell racist for calling their fries "Supreme Fries"? No, just as computer scientists are not racist for using a term that describes one system of computation superior to all other forms. Changing the term to "Quantum Advantage" will be misleading in regards to what is meant by the term Quantum Supremacy in the first place. If this isn't publicly ridiculed, it sets a dangerous precedent that any interpretation of a word or term, by loosely relating it to something bad in the past (if you think this won't be a problem let me remind you that Hitler is at most 6 inferential steps away from any random Wikipedia article), can be used to shut down any opinion you don't like or agree with.
So what I was wondering is this; does this have something to do with the fact that we have plateaued so much in the hard sciences, especially physics, that physicists now have time to worry about nonsense like this, rather than working on physics research? Is this some sort of play to secure more funding from the future democratic government by "signalling" that these guys are more progressive than the people who compare computing to white supremacy? Are we really so stuck in our research that our brilliant minds have to resort to deal with this by necessity of their environment obsessing about this?
Do you think this
... keep reading on reddit β‘I've been learning more about math and computer science on their own, and I haven't really come across any material that directly applies problems to actual computer science topics. I'm learning about trig, calculus, etc. and I'm constantly trying to look up when I would use them in programming and computer science. Is there a website or a problem bank somewhere that has a large collection of problems like these?
Chances are if you have used YouTube for understanding CS topics, you have came across Neso Academy.
On January 19, their account was hacked and deleted, meaning all their content is now gone.
They covered essential topics such as Computational theory, database management systems, operating systems to name a few and were one of the top providers of free education in the CS YouTube world (in English).
Please consider supporting them here, and spreading the news.

The more you retweet, the more likely YouTube support will be able to do something about this incident.

i dream (updated version of "words", with a supposedly official title, and produced music. link from the BTS)
baltimore encore song (only played once to make up for the technical difficulties during the Baltimore show) maybe called 'no good'? seems to match the new theme (good morning, its been good)
no future (unlocked throughout the right code 'no future' on mcmxcv.eu)
