The busiest intersection in the United States during the 1930's?

I live near Westville, Indiana which has the intersection of US Highway 6 & Indiana state road 2, or the 1913 route of the Lincoln Highway. I have always been told that during the 1930's this was for a time the busiest intersection in America.

Is there any truth to this?

CDC & Covid task force are finally changing their tune. Please behave as if there is community spread in your area. Once we are testing appropriately a vast majority of Americans are likely to find out community spread is their reality, esp if they live near 1 of the world’s busiest airports πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Protect vulnerable people in our community NOW.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html

If ANY signs of illness, consider it your civic duty to isolate at home. This will be esp challenging for Georgians as allergy / sinus season is hitting. Many cases of covid start with a β€œsinus infection”

https://youtu.be/PU2ut5Ark3Q

Also we need to be aware of a hidden risk - many of us parents are breathing easy thinking our kids are safe BUT if you are a parent of a kid who is secretly VAPING that may not be the case. Time to sit all teens down and have a serious discussion so you can have a real idea of their risk should they catch this virus.

The CDC link above now has a list of health conditions that can put you at increased risk. Data out of China definitely showed a correlation between smoking / vaping and increased severity of illness.

From the CDC website - medical conditions that put you are risk even if you are young:

Appendix A: Underlying medical conditions that may increase the risk of serious COVID-19 for individuals of any age. β€’ Blood disorders (e.g., sickle cell disease or on blood thinners) β€’ Chronic kidney disease as defined by your doctor. Patient has been told to avoid or reduce the dose of mdications because kidney disease, or is under treatment for kidney disease, including receiving dialysis β€’ Chronic liver disease as defined by your doctor. (e.g., cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis) Patient has been told to avoid or reduce the dose of medications because liver disease or is under treatment for liver disease. β€’ Compromised immune system (immunosuppression) (e.g., seeing a doctor for cancer and treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation, received an organ or bone marrow transplant, taking high doses of corticosteroids or other immunosuppressant medications, HIV or AIDS) β€’ Current or recent pregnancy in the last two weeks β€’ Endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes mellitus) β€’ Metabolic disorders (such as inherited metabolic disorders and mitochondrial disorders) β€’ Heart disease (such as congenital heart disease, congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease) β€’ Lung disease including asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (chronic bronchitis or emphysema) or other chronic conditions associated with impaired lung function or that require home oxygen β€’ Neurological and neurologic and neurodevelopment conditions [including disorders of the brain, spinal co

I'll make this quick because from my 2 months of observing this subreddit I understand you guys don't have enough of an attention span to even read up to this point

Fulton County is where Atlanta is. The two live together and one of them just returned recently from Italy. Futures are going down. Market opens red tomorrow.

TL;DR DAL $44p 3/6

There's absolutely nothing wrong with putting the United States at the top of 'select your country' lists.

I can't be the only one tired of alphabetical lists where you have to scroll past fucking Monaco and Uganda to find the largest English speaking economy in the world. Hell, let the UK and Canada share the top with us, I'm even fine with putting China up there. Just end this nonsense where I have to scroll past microstates, developing nations where 90% of the population doesn't have internet, and half the world to find my country.
