If I have a list [1,5,4,5,22,0,0,1]

And I need to generate a 7th degree polynomial from this, how should I proceed?

I tried using the methods given online, but it either crashes or gives me a clearly wrong answer ( I'm trying to find all the real roots by using real_roots() or roots() )

Any help would be appreciated.

1. If the MOASS weren't a strong possibility, and we're so dumb, why would all those smart people at Blackrock, Vanguard, and other sizeable financial institutions continue to add to their positions consistently throughout the year?

2. If there were no real risk of a systemic financial meltdown, wouldn't every financial regulatory board implemenring a barrage of targeted rules & regulations surrounding the subject of a "major market event" this year just be a huge waste of resources, rushed without reason?

3. Where was the sudden concern this year from the people in-the-know about people's investments in 2007 leading up to the housing market crash?

4. Why has AMC moved in virtual lockstep with a select few, heavily-shorted stocks with completely different fundamentals, independently from those fundamentals, for nearly a full year now?

5. If the shorts were in control, why has AMC not gone bankrupt already?

6. If the movies are a dying industry, how could a comic book film released during a pandemic wherein people are afraid to even leave their homes to go grocery shopping hold its own against the revenue generated from any other movie released in prior years?

7. If we didn't sell when the share price was at $8 or when it was $70+, what makes the shorts think we'll sell when it's at $28?

Hi all, this is my first reddit post so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but here we go

My math IA is due tomorrow and I'm in a bit of a rut, also feeling like its too late to reach out to my teacher who has suggested he will deduct Personal Engagement marks for procrastinating. My math IA is about modelling homicide rates in Chicago for 2019-2020. I've created a 4th degree polynomial function using Sheets software and now I'm looking to try and determine R^2 to discuss the extent to which the model can explain variance in the y-variable (homicides in a month) as a result of the x variable (the month (out of 24 months)). I figured I'd calculate Pearson's correlation coefficient and then square it and that would be that. However, now I'm seeing stuff online about how this is only applicable to linear regression. Does anyone know more about this or have any suggestions?

Yes, I know we've been down this rabbit hole many times before and I'm aware that there is absolutely zero mathematical correlation between George R. R. Martin's writing speed and a polynomial analysis... however, I am insane man who has access to Excel and uses math on a full time basis. Might as well use this gift (a curse, truly) to dig myself deeper into this slaver pit of insanity. Here is a polynomial graphical analysis that shows when the Winds of Winter will finally be published for the masses to enjoy! (Insert laugh track here)

Using the actual release dates of the first 5 books, a third power polynomial equation seemed like the best way to go in terms of predicting when Book 6 would be released. A second power polynomial curve was saying that Winds of Winter would be published in 2018. That ship sailed long ago.

I'm not sure if the equation is legible for you guys, but the equation I used to trend predict the follow up books is:

y = (66.519*x^3)-(314.66*x^2)+(1218.5*x)+34321

Based on this equation, The Winds of Winter will be released on April 21, 2022 and A Dream of Spring (oh you sweet Summer child) will be released on July 27, 2037.
