A list of puns related to "List of goat milk cheeses"
Hi all! I got a dairy goat! I got a breed with high butterfat content, her fresh milk tastes just like cow's milk to me.
I'd like to make things like sour cream, cream cheese, feta, mozz, halloumi, ricotta, and maybe try my hand at a colby or something.
Most cheese recipes are intended for pasteurized cow's milk, and when I search for recipes using raw goat milk, most of my results are related to Chevre. I don't want to make chevre, I want to make mozzarella! With goat's milk! lol.
Is there a book or a website that might provide some resources and slight adaptations necessary to make common cheeses using a different type of milk? I feel like I'm going cross-eyed with all my research and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed!
Thanks!
*kiss*. To whoever recommended trader joe's goat milk creamy cheese. Good flavor & consistency and even lower in calorie than my Philly 1/3 fat cream cheese. (45 calorie per 28 grams vs 60 calorie per 31 g) . Please come out so I can thank you. π
Pretty much what the title says, my 4month old has CMPI so I cut all dairy/soy when he was 3 weeks old. Iβm absolutely dying for the tic tok feta and tomato pasta that was doing the rounds a few months ago and it came to me in the wee hours this morning that I could try it with goats cheese. I know it sounds super obvious and dumb because itβs called a cows milk intolerance but is there any similarities in the protein that would cause issues?
Cheese can be placed like cake and restores 12 hunger and 4 saturation. Cheese is eaten in 4 bites with a slight cool down between bites.
Also, not really but would be fun: crafting two cheese on top of each other yields a cheese block. Crafting a portal with a minimum of 4 air blocks inside (vertically or horizontally) will make a portal that ignites during the full moon and will send you to the moon dimension until the night passes!
Seriously, it should come with a warning label. Just the smell of it is enough to make one retch. It tastes like a dirty goat wiped its poopy butt on some rancid straw and them peed on it. How can anyone eat that?
The last two times I gave my dog a bath with a drugstore dog shampoo he had a seizure afterwards. Heβs epileptic so Iβm not sure if itβs just the bath that triggered it or what. But, I bought an all natural goatβs milk bar of soap for human use but the manufacture said it βshould beβ fine to use on my dog in the meantime. Here are the ingredients of the bar:

The title says it all really. Nothing to add. I just wanna know - will vomiting the offending piece of food improve my feeling and help the "episode" pass faster? Right now I'm dealing with tiny piece of Haloumi Cheese I decided to nibble before frying bigger pieces. Nibbling is all it took for me to rush to the box and see it says it's made with 3 milks - Cow, Sheep and Goat. So It's a double whammy. My throat feels tight, I feel the content of my stomach pushing against my esophagus, my face itches, my chest feels tight as well. I've been to allergy specialist that gave me prescription for EpiPen, which I got, but it's for case of emergencies and to take abroad, where I might eat by mistake big portion of something with the wrong milks and develop a serious reaction. So far The worst I had was when I ate 50g of Goat Feta, I felt absoultely awful and feared my throat will tighten to the point I would suffocate but luckily that didn't occur.
So what can I do about it when I accidentally consume products containing the aforementioned substances? Is there some medication I can take orally that will alleviate the symptoms? Will throwing up the bad food help? Is there a chance of getting anaphylactic shock from this milk allergy?
A bonus question - searching google doesn't yield much information about goat and sheep milk allergies. It seems cow milk is the usual culprit (I'm totally ok with cow milk), with goat and sheep milk being the usually preferred hypoallergenic substitute for cow milk. So I got the bizzaro version? Can anyone share some information about goat and sheep milk allergy?
I am not including cowβs milk cheese, because that would win in a landslide
