So the restaurant we were having our rehearsal dinner at just posted in the paper that they are officially closed. This came out of literally nowhere as it’s a really popular place in town that seemed to be thriving. It’s also been in business as long as I can remember and under the current owners since 2007. I have no idea what to do now. We already paid them $600 and no one has contacted us. Our only point of contact was the general manager who we left a message with. But I guess since they are closed he doesn’t even work there now. The biggest problem is we need a space and food for like 40 people on July 12th for around 1000$ (assuming we get our 600$ back). This is a long shot but does anyone have any suggestions in Nevada County. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry right now.
Update: I was able to get ahold of the owners. They were super apologetic and are gonna mail a check with our deposit back. We are looking into alternative options. It won’t be as nice as what we had but we will make sure people get fed at least.
