so i wanna watch winx club again and i dont want to watch EVERY filler episode so is there a guide or smth that can help thanks <3
Planning to rewatch the show, but am only interested in the episodes that are actually good. I'd say episodes that have substantial character development, an interesting plotline, engaging drama/conflict or are overall just an enjoyable binge are considered good.

What the heck was going on in this episode? The drama of Season 3 is just rolling along and then this comes around and seems like an episode made for 2 year olds!
The Wiki page seems to think they were copying the Smurfs, but I don't know... It was pretty bad... I always wondered if it was like a test run for "Poppixie" or something...
That’s the version I remember watching but no matter how I search I can only find the version with the pants. I can’t seem to find the season 1 I want anywhere! Even to purchase
I grew up with the nick dub. I remember seeing nick promoting the 4 specials they had made for seasons 1 and 2. But when they aired season 3 and I saw their “ Magic Winx” transformation I was confused because I remember seeing their “Charmix” transformation ( not the one with the purses). But by the time season 4 or 5 aired on nick I learn about the overall origin of the show and also learned about the other English dubs.
Here’s a brief breakdown of the other English dubs
4kids: they are known as the first English dub for Winx they dub seasons 1-3 this is also not the most favorite dub because they heavily butchered the original Italian script.
Cinelume/Rai English: this is the second known dub and it’s also known as the best dub for how faithful they were to the original Italian script. They dubed seasons 1-4
Dubbing Brothers: they just dub the 3 movies there’s nothing to much about them
Nick: they made 4 specials to summarize the events of seasons 1 and 2. They ended up dubbing seasons 3 and 4 and along with Rainbow they co-produce seasons 5 and 6. They also dub the first movie ( The secret of The Lost Kingdom) and dub the second movie ( Magical Adventure) but they cut it down to a hour long special. There is some mixed reaction to the Nick dub.
DuArt: this is the latest dub and they are also the second best dub. They dub seasons 7 and 8 and also both seasons of World of Winx.

So, I've been watching the 3 first seasons of Winx Club, which are still great and iconic in my opinion. Buuut...there are some things about it that don't really hold up to today's standards like some of the animation, special effects, writing and voice acting. It's a great show, but it just some polishing, if you will.
Yes, I know there is that live action Fate series, but tbh that doesn't even count as Winx, it's more like Vampire Diaries but with fairies... actually not even faries, cause they don't have wings or cute transformation outfits.
I'm talking about an actual animated reboot, maybe targeted towards tweens, teens and young adults, since the first seasons really are a bit too violent to be considered a show for children these days. It will re-tell the story of the original series, with a few changes to the plot, better animation, voice acting, ect.
Maybe even give everyone new character designs, create a list with distinct spells for each character like what they've been doing in more recent seasons and just giving the series a new fresh coat of paint while still trying to keep the essence of the original thing.
But unfortunately...I doubt Rainbow would be interested in doing that. And even if they did do an animated reboot, they'd probably make Nick Jr version of the show, like they've done with Season 6, 7 and 8. It's really a shame, cause making an actual good reboot with the right target audience in mind, It'd introduce Winx Club to a whole new audience and reignite the spark that was missing the the community for so many years.
Oh well, I can only hope Rainbow at least tries to save the franchise a bit more and not give up on it completely. Cause Winx has a massive amount of potencial, that's for sure. That potential just needs to be materialized in the right way.
