The procudure to measure a certified race course requires a 300 meter or longer distance measured to calibrate a Jones Counter equiped bicyle. These are generaly laid out with a steel tape then published by the USATF and deemed usable for 10 years. There are a number local courses that have their 10 year date approaching and as such need to be remeasured. Is there a electronic measuring device that can be operated by two people as accurate as taping and reasonably priced for purchase or rental?
