List of ReBoot characters Puns

Was just wondering if there's anything important to watch out for while leveling up in Reboot. I don't wanna do something dumb like accidentally blow up the Ghost Ship Exorcist Badge and have to remake a character :D

Personally I’m excited to see madison and Morgan interact. I want to see them clash together because I don’t feel like they’ll see eye to eye much.

One of the biggest appeals of this game has been the character designs. They perfectly convey what each character's archetype is and what combat style they're proficient at.

So what's your list? Who's at top and why?

1. Kunoichi, like everything about her outfit feels pleasant to look at. Her long scarf, mix of colors, hairstyle blend well with her flashy yet practical ninja gear.

I’ll probably do a few more polls tomorrow on Toad, Pyro, and Blob because I completely forgot to do them, but after that I’ll post the results about where the votes went.

I've always been an OC exclusive author. Never really cared about writing the canon characters because they feel established and not that interesting to explore unless they're really niche/new characters. I am aware that by writing OCs I am inherently putting myself at a disadvantage. Not everyone wants to read about new people they have no connection with. Every fandom has varying levels of OC acceptance.

I am thinking about restarting my current WIP and rebooting it with canon characters in order to expand my audience/appeal. Anybody else try this before?

“The Scorpion and the Frog” is a fable about a Scorpion desiring to cross a river and asking for the aid of a Frog.

The Frog, of course, is reluctant because he fears that the Scorpion will sting him.

“That is foolish, then we would both drown” says the Scorpion.

Eventually, the Frog is persuaded, and agrees to allow the Scorpion to ride on his back as he swims across the river.

Halfway across the river, the Scorpion stings the Frog anyway, despite being within sight of his goal.

As the two begin to sink, the Frog asks why the Scorpion stung him, even though he knew the action would doom them both?

“I am a Scorpion, it is in my nature to sting.”

Now what deal does Raiden make with Scorpion in MK9?

“Spare Bi Han, and we can bring your wife and son back.”

Now, in many mythologies, the realm of the living and the dead is separated by a river, be it the Styx in Greek Mythology, or the Sanzu River in Japanese Buddhist Tradition.

Thus, Scorpion, like his namesake, barters with a distrustful ferryman for safe passage across a river (albeit for his Wife and Son rather than himself.)

Unfortunately, Scorpion kills Bi Han in a fit of rage, which ultimately costs “The Frog” dearly.

Fast-forward to MKX.

Again, Raiden needs somebody alive in order to save his friends.

Again, Scorpion sabotages Raiden’s plans by executing Quan Chi before he can cure Liu Kang and the rest of the Revenants.

Again, somebody isn’t allowed to cross a river because of a Scorpion’s impulsiveness, which sets in motion Raiden’s downfall.

Now, what is Hanzo’s objective in Chapter 10 of MK11?

To rescue Kharon, who, like his Greek Namesake, is responsible for ferrying the living across a river into the land of the dead.

Hanzo is successful at saving Kharon from Scorpion, preventing him from killing another “Ferryman”, though at the cost of his own life.

Ironically, Hanzo, while succumbing to a venomous sting, has become the metaphorical Frog who must place his trust in a Scorpion to overcome their nature in order to cross a river.

Ultimately, by convincing his younger self to let go of his rage, Hanzo is finally able to break the cycle of vengeance, cross the Sanzu River and reunite with Haromi and Satoshi in the afterlife.

Honestly, Hanzo has one of the best Redemption Arcs in Video Game History and Netherrealm Studios doesn’t get enough credit.

I have 73 tweaks right now, and when I was on b47 and b48 of unc0ver, I would get random reboots every 6-8 hours, but then I downgraded to b39, and now I get it once every day or two. Is this just a bug with unc0ver, or could there also be a tweak causing these reboots for me? And if so, what tweaks have you found to cause these reboots for you?

I know that in today's age that data mining of game files is the norm for discovering future content but I suspect that ArcSystemWorks cleverly (or accidentally) show which characters will be playable in Strive through the correlation chart. For those that are unaware, Strive's correlation chart is a feature under the Story category that allows one to explore the characters and their connections to other characters within the Guilty Gear lore through an interactive chart. It's a neat feature for something as interesting but utterly confusing as the world of Guilty Gear.

Within the correlation chart every playable character in Strive contains a profile about them. The profile is distinct as it lists their name, height, weight, blood type, etc. The only exception to this is Goldlewis, who is currently absent from the chart altogether, but I think there is a reason behind this which I will explain later. Now, I just want to list all characters from the GG fighting games, previous and current, that have profiles and those that were previously playable that do not have profiles. I have left out characters from non fighting game GG titles, such GG: Isuka, but note that these characters are missing profiles as well.

What's interesting from the first list is that there are 12 characters not playable in Strive. If we add Jack-O, Goldlewis, and the upcoming rumored Happy Chaos, that makes 15 DLC characters that will be distributed over three season DLCs. This is, of course, if the pattern of five characters per season holds, which is a safe assumption.

Some will argue that some characters are dead and can't return. However, I would argue in a world of magic, vampires, voluptuous waifus created as weapons against humanity, secret societies, a time traveling sexually obsessed witch, and a pimp who commands floating harem pirate airships, that anything is possible. You just need to wear more belts and buckles.

96 players have qualified for the Smash World Tour 2021 regionals so far. Although it's wrapping up soon, there will be two more qualifiers adding 8 more qualified players each, with NA Southeast this weekend and NA Northeast next weekend. So, these are the last chances for some characters to be represented in the regionals. I looked at their mains listed on SmashWiki as the source. The regionals will be offline, and SmashWiki will list their offline mains even if they play someone different online (e.g. MKLeo only mains Joker offline). It also prevents recency bias, but also means a few might be outdated. And yeah, this might get outdated before the qualifiers end or the regionals start. Echoes were split. I will post a list of all players and mains of all regionals after the last qualifier ends on May 23rd, and the final character breakdown.

53 characters out of 84 fighters are mained by a qualified player so far. Ness and Palutena have the most with 6 players each, followed by Snake and R.O.B. with 5 players each. 29 fighters are mained by just one player. Ness has Khami, Gackt, Psinewave, Toon, Echofire, and Scend. Palutena has Luma, Raflow, Lukitu, Chag, Mtkat, and Midnight. Snake has Kinaji, Romberry, Br1 AV, AlanDiss, and MVD. R.O.B. has SebPro101, Kuroponzu, Vidad, Lucretio, and Domnique.

Out of all the fighters who are not mained by the players, the next tier was all the fighters who a qualified player used in the qualifier to help win a set. Since they were used in the qualifier, there's a chance they will be used in the regionals, and this has a few of the recent DLC fighters that aren't quite mains yet. These are (with one example of a player) Pyra/Mythra (Kinaji), Diddy Kong (Sriks), Corrin (Maplemage), Byleth (Maplemage), Sephiroth (Hanayome), Chrom (Hanayome), Hero (Nair^), Duck Hunt (WaKa), Mii Gunner (Capitancito), Donkey Kong (Larry Lurr), Kirby (SKITTLES!!), and Mega Man (SKITTLES!!).

The next tier is all the fighters listed on SmashWiki as one of the characters used by a qualified player outside of their main. Hello everyone. Bit of a newb here.

I have a txt list of computers I want to test for a pending reboot. I've found many scripts everywhere that can test it, and they work well enough but they aren't very automated. By default they run on localhost, unless given a -Computername argument. Thing is, I have 90 machines I want to run this against and output the results.

I also want to run it under different credentials. Can anyone help? I'll copy in the code I'm using at the moment.
