A list of puns related to "List of I Dream of Jeannie episodes"
I've started watching the hit sitcom from the 1960's I Dream of Jeannie starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. I don't believe this is what they were going for in producing the show, but I've concluded that Jeannie is the worst, and Dr. Bellows is the real victim in everything that happens.
Let's consider the facts. What does Jeannie consistently do in every episode? She takes something that Tony says literally, and creates yet another mess which she places him ever so gingerly into the center of. Even if she's not taking something he says literally, she loves to meddle in his life. Everywhere from interfering in his relationships, which always lands him in an awkward position every time, and interfering with his work, yet again landing him in not only awkward but dangerous positions. She consistently defies Tony, and creates messes that they only narrowly escape from. He's had ample opportunity to get rid of her, yet he insists on allowing her to stay around and complicate his life.
Then there's Tony. Honestly, he's not much better. For an astronaut, he's not only a pretty slow learner, but he's not that bright either. He's meant to be seen as the voice of reason but I just don't see him as such. He doesn't learn how to watch his wording, and often even escalates dangerous situations. A fine example is when, once again due to Jeannie taking something Tony says literally, gets blinked to the times of Napoleon. Now Tony, having narrowly escaped several catastrophes before, could have just asked Jeannie to send him back to the present, but does he? Nope. He insists on meeting Napoleon personally, and telling him about what he's going to do. We all know how screwing with timelines can end. Not to mention in this episode, of course, everybody thought Tony was nuts and took him to be beheaded. What does Tony say as he's being placed on the guillotine? "You're making a big mistake buddy! I'm on detached duty to NASA!" Doesn't take a genius to know that NASA didn't exist for over 100 years after Napoleon's death. Another example is Tony wished he could meet King Kamehameha. Of course, Jeannie brings him to the present. This once again could have been solved by simply sending him back, but Tony insists on showing the King the progress that Hawaii has made since his time, which of course results in disaster. While the root of Tony's problems is Jeannie, Tony brings a lot of what happens to him onto himself.
Although I don't think it's meant to look this way,

I Dream of Jeanie / I Dream of Jeannie
"I Dream of Jeannie is an American fantasy sitcom starring Barbara Eden as a 2,000-year-old genie and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who becomes her master..."
JEANNIE?! Ugh...
One of those improbable situation comedies from television's early days, I remember the show as "I Dream of JEANIE", though she's "always been known" as Jeannie here with two Ns.
Of course, there's a whack of physical evidence that points to the contrary!

If true, then they are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
