A list of puns related to "Library atmospherics"
I haven't travelled across Canada, so I can't answer my own question.
I do like the Alexander Rutherford Library in my hometown of Edmonton, however.

New free atmospheric textures from Spitfire. Sounds really nice from the video. Going to check it out tonight.
I'm looking for a sfx and sound design library that I've recently been served preroll ads on youtube for, but now cant remember the name. Of course youtube isn't showing that to me anymore but I thought maybe someone here might also have seen it or would know what I'm looking for.
The ad has spacey atmospheric sound design and space related imagery, anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?
Thanks!

Any recommendations for places with a chill library lounge atmosphere? Big comfy chairs (often leather), wood paneling, and a warm fireplace would be awesome.
In the old days you'd drink whiskey and smoke cigars, but neither alcohol nor smoking required for my purposes.
Edit: To clarify, not looking for a literal library. I'm thinking of a lounge environment -- open at night, dim lighting, most likely a bar on the premises, but tea/coffee is also good. Probably more of an East Coast/Midwest thing, but they must exist here somewhere.
It's usually a lounge, not a library. There's typically a bar or cocktail service. It's called a "library" lounge because there are often bookshelves, and you sit down in comfy chairs suitable for reading. The lighting is warm and dim, and there's lush carpeting, wood paneling, lots of mahogany, etc.

In the movies, you'd see a couple of lawyers or power-brokers sitting down with fancy whiskey and cigars to negotiate some big deal in an ostensibly casual fashion. (Then, when they fail to reach an agreement, one of the lawyers insults the other in a dignified-yet-crude fashion, puts his unfinished drink on the table, and leaves in a angry-but-controlled huff while the other lawyer, who has a personal relationship with the judge, smiles smugly and contemplates his perceived (but ultimately illusory) victory.)
Iβm attending a virtual conference and instead of sitting at home I want to go to a nice regional library. My local one is George Mason Regional and while it fulfills my general library needs, the ambience feels utilitarian and is generally lacking. Can you recommend any libraries in Fairfax County that have better atmosphere? Something cozy or expansive (think George Peabody library in Baltimore), or just better than gray carpeting, low ceilings and fluorescent lights?
Thank you.
Those I know who submit either create very pop/upbeat songs or orchestral stuff. Does anyone know if more subtle, "atmosphere" score-type music ever accepted?

I was wondering if anyone has been to the Chem Library in Noyes. I have a TAM 210 lecture in Noyes on MWF, and immediately after a MCB course that's a Zoom lecture. Rather than walk to Grainger or some other semi-secluded location elsewhere, I was thinking of posting up at the Chem Library for the MCB lecture, purely out of convenience.
If you've been there, is the atmosphere relatively conducive to a quiet study session? It looks rather small from the outside, and it's been closed this weekend so I haven't been able to get an impression of anything.
Any input is appreciated!
