A list of puns related to "Less Than Zero (film)"
16oz of home brewed coffee is 200mg of caffeine vs 140 for monster. Monster has no sugar while coffee has 6 teaspoons.
Now that a week has passed, we're kicking off discussion threads for Dawn FM. Next up is the 15th track, Less Than Zero.

Phantom Regret by Jim is up next.
I have seen most of Bret EASTON Ellis movies want some more with similar themes.
I'm seeing a lot of that on here lately, especially with these Top 10 posts.
"I know it's basic". "My film taste is juvenile". "I've only seen 180 films".
You like the films you like because they had an impact on you. That's what matters. I have 700 films logged, and that still won't be enough for some cinephiles who shit all over you if you can't name every Herzog film.
We are here because we love movies. This isn't some dick measuring race. Embrace what you love.
I hope abel sings less than zero live one day. This song brings soo much emotion to me. Feels good to just let out strong emotions. And when he does my soul will be happy
Check it out and let me know if you guys hear it as well.
THE RECORDS ARE TOO??????

I love that style of pop. Can anyone recommend songs from other artists than sound like it?
idk why but this shit gets me really hard, have it on repeat all the time i just canβt help it
In my opinion, this song encapsulates what Abel was going for in this project. Never have we heard Abel over a beat like this. Sonically and lyrically it seems like heβs accepted the mistakes of his past and owned up to them. In the next track we hear Jim narrating some sort of cathartic poem, which alludes to letting go of grudges and bitterness. Abel might be looking to transition away from his darker music. No matter what your opinion is on the album, I feel like he was able to make a track list that reflects his desire to be happier and abandon his toxic relationships and addictions from After Hours.
Just finished Bret Easton Ellisβs Less Than Zero, and I know all his books are connected in ways. At the end of LTZ Clay mentions a party that ended out of hand with the murder of a girl, and the killer running. Could this be Patrick Bateman in LA? Does Bateman mention in American Psycho being at a party in LA? I canβt remember.
Itβs in constant rotation over here. I would love to hear your thoughts and theories on what itβs about. I was thinking perhaps itβs about being addicted to drugs.
Genuinely think these two are number ones in waiting. Less Than Zero if itβs promoted right could be Blinding Lights II.
HDIMYLM could be another future hit as well.
fuck, the whole song hits different but there's something about only his vocals and that guitar god i can't handle it at the same time cant get enough of it
In Less Than Zero, the song gets to a part where The Weeknd says:
"Cause you were just like me before"
"Now you'd rather leave me, than to watch me die in your arms"
I think this line is alluding to his love interest being done with his drug habits/abuses & walking away from him/that reality.
& I think he's implying she used to use drugs as he is using them- but she changed her habits/behaviours. She got healthier- less reliant on the substances.
Then he talks about trying to hide it- "I try to fight it, but I'd rather be free"
That seems like him admitting/acknowledging he has a problem, he's tried to fight his addictions, but he also is stuck in the realms of escapism & running from himself - "But I'd rather be free"
The drugs/substances help him escape himself & be free of the burden of deeper personal responsibility.
Earlier in the album he talks about working on himself- "Out Of Time"
Seems someone is done with him not changing.
What changes was she asking?
This album alludes to the aspects of him being unsafe- eg. "I almost died in the discotheque"
The song before this, he's talking about not wanting to sacrifice- he doesn't want to give up his time/energy- but maybe it's actually about something else. He doesn't want to sacrifice this habit to be with her.
& Further in the album it becomes more clear she's leaving him & moving away from this/those energies of what appears to be more toxic substance addiction behaviours.
& The entire theme of this album is also coated/layered in the principles or ideas of him dying. Dying from what though?
The album before this it the entire visual design & energy was heavily coated in substance abuse/dependency "Blinding Lights" being the leading aspect of this & The Weeknd showcasing a very extremely unstable character who is depicted as being high off of substances/drugs.
Then the next album we get, he's dead/died.
Maybe this album is about the death or recognition of some toxic habits that could not stay/remain with substances & ways he was living his life.
Thoughts?
What do you think these lines might mean?
The Weeknd said we are experiencing a trilogy- so there will be a third part to this journey to come.
I anticipate the third part- if it is called After Life- or embodies the energies of it- will be an album that is healthier & could include aspects of changing behaviours & deep personal responsibility with self - an album of healing the old
... keep reading on reddit β‘Maybe I just canβt find them, but itβs less than 24 hours from release (almost now 12 hours to go), and there arenβt any major reviews out for season 1 or even the first episode. Nothing on Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, IGN, nothing. Shouldnβt there be some sort of critic review out by now? Idk if this is a worrying sign or not, or if this is just Disney being extra tight lipped about it so there isnβt any spoilers.
pls anyone?
