I just completed the 2021 Bingo Card, so I thought I might have a little fun and review every book I read! The first few start out a little rough, but I promise I'll gush a bit later lol. All of these are spoiler-free!
Five SFF Short Stories- THE LIVES OF SAINTS by Leigh Bardugo, 3.5/5: I will attach the disclaimer that I'm not a short stories person. However, as a big fan of the SoC duology, I picked this book up. (I probably wouldn't have if not for bingo.) The stories are only a couple of pages each, and they're atmospheric and a little lyrical. However, I don't feel like I got all that much out of the experience.
Set in Asia- JADE CITY by Fonda Lee, 4/5: I wasn't gripped by this like I wanted to be and I found the prose a bit bare-bones in places, but the plot, pacing, and characters made this a fun read. I'm not into urban fantasy much these days, but I can recommend this book wholeheartedly. I immediately read the sequel, but haven't popped open the third book yet.
A Selection from the r/Fantasy A to Z Genre Guide- THE BOOK OF KOLI by M.R. Karey, 2.5/5: The last half of this book was certainly easier to read than the absolute slog of a first half, but I could never bring myself to like Koli, who is incredibly naive and borderline stupid. The worldbuilding is neat, but that couldn't make up for how much I hated being in Koli's head.
Found Family- UPRIGHT WOMEN WANTED by Sarah Gailey, 4.5/5: This one was fun! Not the most developed characters, but I can give a little wiggle room since it's a novella. The world felt very alive, and I did like the characters overall. If a western about rambunctious librarians suits your fancy, pick it up!
First Person POV- THE CHOSEN AND THE BEAUTIFUL by Nghi Vo, 4/5: I liked this book overall, but think it focused a little too hard on pretty prose rather than making things work neatly together. The characters were this book's strong point. I'll definitely read more of Vo because of how much I adore the Singing Hills Cycle.
Book Club or Readalong Book- THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE THE TIME WAR by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone, 3.5/5: I didn't like this book as much as most people seemed to, but I think it came together well in the end. However, it was very romance-y for me, super over-the-top with it. I'm not a vast declarations of love type. It also required a lot of suspension of disbelief, and not all of it worked for me.
New to You Author- FIREHEART TIGER by Aliette de Bodard, 3.5/5: I don't have strong feelings

Welcome to the Bonnaroo 2020 2021 2022 rumor and confirmation thread. With artist tour dates starting to pop up and festival lineups dropping for 2022, we can get a decent picture of who may be there and who is likely not going to be there due to conflicting dates
Before we begin, here's a quick look at 2019, 2018, 2020, and 2021 Rumor and Confirmation threads.

Typically speaking, Bonnaroo doesn't have artists come back to back each year. That being said, this has been everything except typical.
Any help you guys can get is appreciated. The majority of the finds are done by you all, with that being said let's go over a couple ground rules, same as last year. I may not include every artist that gets mentioned - if I don't add your pick don't be offended. Also, I'm only one person, I'll try to update this post as much as possible - just be patient. The bigger the name, the more likely it's going to be added, especially the "OUT" section.
Also, HUGE shout out to /u/SimeonsDilemma, I'm using this format from a few years back, and of course the mods for keeping this place one of the best music festival communities on the internet.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Story
After successfully pushing back the Romanians from our Northern Borders our generals have decided to attack Greece before they can attack us. We have sent our destroyer Gordi and we have sunken down Hellenic Navy destroyer out of the coast of the island of Limnos. With their naval security weakened we have send a platoon of mechanized infantry supported by a T-90 and a Su-25.

Briefing
We believe that the Greeks have developed a new stealth black hawk and the Russians have asked us if we can retrieve the technology so they can reverse engineer it. If we are successful they will let us have a new heli once they are done engineering it. While the main force is attacking the Hellenic Army on the island we will send a SOBT unit to investigate the sunken destroyer and after that proceed with sabotaging military emplacements that would help the main force.

Story:
After Greece and Serbia have taken the west side of the Balkans, Romania has contacted them and they are planning an assault on Bulgaria aka Operation Spear. Greece will be attacking from the South, Serbia from the West and Romania from the North. Hellenic navy will be supporting the Romanian assault from the Black sea.
Current date: 2030/09/07 - Beginning of Operation Spear
Briefing:
Romanian army has passed our borders. They have control of the costal area around Varna and they are pushing inland. Our airfield has sustained severe damage after a massive bombing raid. Fortunately the missiles missed couple of the hangers and our tank depo so we have armoured assets to support the push back. Our task is to push the Romanian forces out of our borders. While the main force is stopping the Romanian army a small unit of the SOBT will be task of sabotaging Romanian FOBs and they have to find the Hellenic's navy aircraft carrier and sabotage it.
Objectives:Main force1st: Stop a convoy containing scud launchers before it reaches FOB Kurgan2nd: Clear the old Bulgarian base from Romanian presence3rd: Clear FOB Altar4th: Rescue the town of Gorka5th: Combined assault with the SOBT on the Romanian HQ6th: Neutralize any remaining forces on the North Eastern Airfield
