I really liked this show and I thought it was surprisingly good But I wanted to discuss with the group what do they think of the show without heavy spoilers so write what do you think of the show in the comments
As I saw 1 or 2 polls about Yae Miko's future team role, I wanted to share my ideas about her and of course also see what you guys think.
Disclaimer: This thread contains story spoilers of the version 2.1.
In my opinion the most likely role for Yae seems to be a main DPS or potentially a burst DPS. I read that some people assume she will be a healer as we do not have an electro healer as of now and cause she is a shrine maiden. Honestly, I feel it is much more likely for her to be a DPS because of the following reasons:
- According to the main story quest from patch 2.1, Yae and Raiden seem to be close friends. Yae was moreover compared to be someone for Raiden like Dvalin is for Barbatos (or probably the Adepti are for Zhongli). From a story perspective it makes sense if the Raiden Shogun and her had a good synergy. Raiden is a sub DPS and excels at energy recharge (even though she might need a buff at this point, but this is another discussion). So, to make them work together in a team, it could work well if Yae was a main DPS who is very reliant on a good (electro) battery. As we already saw Yae has an electro vision, so it makes sense to have THE electro archon in the same team whose focus energy recharge is.
- The Shimenawa set designwise looks tailor-made for Yae. The colors (white and red) fit her outfit's colors. There is even a kitsune mask. It would be really weird if Yae - who probably has a history with kitsune saiguu - could not make use of this set. Also in the story in 2.1 Yae kind of foreshadowed that she has a kitsune form. The Shimenawa set based on it's effect is a set for a main DPS, for which "additional energy" is required. Here again, the point mentioned before comes in that the Raiden Shogun would be an ideal sub DPS / support for Yae to deliver the required energy.
- Looking at tier lists, we barely have electro characters on top. This is another discussion for itself again and potentially electro buffs will follow. However, I could see that Mihoyo wants to counteract that trend a little and make somewhat a meta electro team with these two characters - Yae and Raiden. Raiden just recently got released and is somewhat close to the top of the tiers, but of course there is still a lot of debate. Besides her, the electro characters are rather ranked low compared to all other elements.
- Regarding the argument that we do not have an electro healer: When looking at the event banner character history, so far we did not get any heale
Hi! I know this is rather sudden but for roughly the last year and a half now I've been working on an English Patch for Gensou no Keifu - Hajimari no Miko, also known as Genealogy of Fantasy, by Chiyuudou. It is a Turn-Based Strategy game that is heavily inspired by the Fire Emblem series.
I've managed to finish the translation for the main game completely, but I still need to have it played through multiple times to find any spelling errors, bugs, or just bad grammar in general. The only thing left in the game to translate are the Support Conversations. I'm currently working on those after a long hiatus, and am streaming my translation of them during the weekend on my YouTube channel if you're interest (link be below, but I'm honestly looking for some feedback from some real translators from around here.)
That comment about "Real Translators" may be a bit confusing, right? Well, I don't actually know any Japanese and only started taking a class this year! I've been using many online translations tools to work out what's actually be said, and that's part of the reason this project has taken so long.
