I am only 21, so my opinion is hard to substantiate, but my dad and older cousin watched Jordan his whole career. After watching Butler down in the bubble, they both say that he has the exact same mentality of Michael Jordan. I watched The Last Dance this year, so I did get a peak into the drive of MJ. After listening to multiple interviews with Butler, they speak the same way about winning; it's the only thing they care about. Last night Jimmy put up the third 40-point triple-double in the Finals ever, and was asked what his mindset was during the game;
"Win. I don't care about a triple double. I don't care about any of that, I really don't. I want to win."
I am not saying Butler is as good as Jordan, because he isn't. But the same drive is there.
