What happened to our servers?
So I just rewatched the entire Matrix trilogy on Netflix and I kept wondering why the Machines never bothered patching the various bugs and exploits that allowed Neo and Agent Smith to keep on pulling off all their shenanigans. Video game developers constantly patch bugs and exploits to prevent players from doing things they're not supposed to do, so why didn't the Machines do the same for the Matrix in any of its iterations? Neo uses exploits and bugs all the time to fly, use wall hacks and aimbots and go into god-mode whenever he feels like because he can literally see the code so he can see exactly what he can and can't exploit, and Agent Smith was clearly corrupted with new code that allowed and compelled him to keep copying himself over other programs and the avatars of humans plugged into The Matrix, whether they were still fully integrated or already freed. What was stopping them from patching all of the bugs and exploits? Was it a concern with maintaining the illusion of The Matrix for the people still plugged in? Couldn't they sedate the entire crop for a few hours while they push through a patch? Have they never needed to sedate the crop at any time in the Matrix's centuries long history for emergency server maintenance? Honestly, it's like they weren't even trying.

Things I consider the TV show did better:
Katherine looking exactly like Elena instead of very similar to.
Stefan is more interesting because he has his Ripper side, No Humanity side, his relationship with Klaus, etc.
Arguably Klaus.
Things I consider the LJ Smith stuff did better:
Elena is the protagonist for a reason. Elena has much more agency and importance in the LJ Smith stuff.
Damon is arguably much better in the books as a character.
Meredith is far better in the books. She's arguably the 4th most popular character after the Main 3.
The sire bond makes far more sense in the LJ Smith stuff and is used in a far better way.

Bought late last year but wasn’t able to use it. Unopened owners manual and all the original stuff minus the box. I think this dude, his declassified memos, and the stuff he claims, could be some of the most compelling evidence we have of not just ETs but also of Direct Government knowledge.
Background:
Wilbert Smith was hired by the Canadian Government (Department of Transport) to study ufos.
He was instructed to study the phenomenon and to use any data collected to try to improve our current understanding of Physics and engineering.
In what are now declassified memos written to and from Washington D.C in 1950, Smith States Ufos are real and his American counterparts admit that the phenomenon "Is the most classified matter in the United States even more classified than the H-Bomb"

Here's where things get Really weird.
During the course of Smith's work on Project Magnet he began to claim to be in telepathic communication with ETs.
People working within the project would allegedly refer to these Ets as "The boys topside"
Officially, the Government pulled funding to the project in 1957 but let Smith continue his work in their facilities until his death in 1963 at the age of 52.
