While thinking about the Disney+ Shows we've had this year, I noticed a pattern in the way the plot is structured.
In 6 episode series':
Episode 2's ending features a new character who enters the show ( and is here to stay ): Zemo in TFATWS, Sylvie in Loki, Echo in Hawkeye.
Episode 3 is more action packed, the main characters go on an adventure inside a particular setting.: Zemo, Sam, Bucky and Sharon's adventure in Madripoor, Loki & Sylvie's adventure in Lamentis, Clint and Kate's adventure in NYC.
Episode 4 features a big plot twist/reveal in the ending.: Walker kills a man in public, The Time Keepers are fake. My prediction is that in the end of Hawkeye ep. 4, we will find out that Wilson Fisk is behind everything.
Both 9 episode series' began as a series of one-shots, but gradually became a normal show.
Episode 4 marks the first time the show truly broke its previously-established rules: with Ep 4 of WandaVision being an explanation of whatever happened outside of the hex, and Watcher talking to Supreme Strange.
In the end of episode 7, The One-Shot structure breaks completely.: Agatha reveals herself in WV, and Infinite Ultron invades Party Thor's universe.
The 9-ep structure might be more of a stretch. What're your thoughts on this?
Marvel Studiosโ โHawkeyeโ stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian dโArcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. โHawkeyeโ is helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie.
This episode is available on December 22, at 12:00 AM PST!
Ok so, as of now, at the end of episode 5, we know that Eleanor is working with KingPin And Jack has been arrested for being involved with the shell company.
My theory is that Jack is innocent and it was Eleanor who was managing the shell company behind Jacks back and when she found out that Kate knows about Jack being the "ceo", she immediately acted as if she just found out and is shocked ( in reality, she is the actual ceo and just used jacks name) and she reported jack to the police to look innocent in front of Kate.
Now the whole cover has been blown because now Yelena has confirmed that Eleanor and Kingpin are working together.
Also Kazi is the one who betrayed her uncle and now kingpin will want Maya dead too.
So yeah that's my theory, do tell me what you guys think about this.
. .
Edit:- I WAS ๐ฏ% CORRECT
Uncle Kingpin controls the Tracksuits who were led by William Lopez until his death at the hands of Ronin.
Now William's daughter, Maya, leads them.
The Tracksuits originally wanted to steal a watch found in the Avengers compound from a black market auction that Armand and Jack Duquesne participated in that took place in the basement of what was Kingpin's hotel in DDS3.
Jack Duquesne is a sword afficionado that acts as CEO of a shell company that launders money for the Tracksuits.
Armand Duquesne was Jack's uncle who called Jack an idiot constantly, yet Armand was said to have "powerful friends you don't want to mess with", which is the exact line Clint used when describing Fisk to Kate.
That makes me form this theory:
Armand worked with/for Fisk and was trying to make Jack take over his empire, but because he considers him an incompetent idiot, he made him CEO of the shell company instead so that he can be the scapegoat if something wrong happens, which seems to be working.
But that doesn't make much sense, otherwise Fisk would have Armand retrieve that watch from the auction or he would simply buy it himself.
Also the tracksuits would have been told not to hurt Armand, but they tried to.
And since Armand is found dead that same night in his apartment, I'm gonna go ahead and form this next theory:
For some reason, Fisk wanted Armand dead and he probably planted him at the auction so that when the Tracksuits killed him, it'd look like an accident and Fisk would have 2 birds with one stone.
Since Kate saved Armand, Fisk sent someone to his apartment to finish it off.
But then the question is why would Fisk want Armand dead?
Well he knew Eleanor's secret (whatever that is) and Eleanor also seems to be working for/with someone that she talked to the phone in episode 4 after he saw that Clint and Kate are going after what could possibly be Fisk.
So maybe Fisk puts Eleanor above Armand in terms of importance to his operations.
And the of course, we have Val who sent Yelena to kill Clint seemingly right after Eleanor talked to her "boss", which makes me thing Val also works for Fisk and Yelena was Fisk's better weapon since Echo failed to kill Clint once.
OR, Eleanor works with Val and Val made Yelena kill Armand because of what he had against Eleanor and the Tracksuits almost killing Armand was simply an accident because they didn't reco
... keep reading on reddit โกAfter watching the first 2 episodes, I had a thought and after watching episode 3 I feel it might be possible. The theory is regarding Kate's family drama.
So, in the first episode, we see the creepy rich old uncle did not like Kate's mom and threatens her saying "he has powerful friends as well", which she appears to shrug off an think nothing of. Then, at the auction, Jack says how he'll inherit his uncles money and takes the sword in the commotion. Later his uncle ends up dead from a sword wound.
Now, all this is leading us to believe that Jack killed his uncle for the inheritance or to protect his fiancรฉ and that Kate's mom is innocent, but my theory is different. My theory is that Kate's mom knows way more than she's letting on.
Let's go back; they show in Kate's childhood that her parents were struggling with money and they had to sell their house, yet even after her dad dies, her mom says she's always known wealth. Which means her mom somehow singlehandedly turned their situation around. Now, when you take the old uncle's "I have powerful friends as well" line, that instantly made me think of Kingpin, but what if it's not what we think it is. What if instead Kate's mom's powerful friends are Kingpin?
We know that the event in New York was powerful enough to push Kate down her path to become a hero, so couldn't the same be said about pushing Kate's mom on the path to become a villain? I imagine she could've done anything to provide and support for Kate, and that's the way Kingpin works. Makes them think it's all for the greater good.
As for Jack, maybe she recruited him for Kingpin, maybe she's after his uncle's inheritance. He could've actually killed his uncle with the sword, or Kate's mom could be framing him. After all, when Kate comes home, she notices a bunch of swords on the wall and assumes they're all Jack's, but it is her mom's house so they could be her's or at the very least she has access to them.
What're your thoughts?
Loved the series. Loved all the characters. Hope to see way more of the iconic Kate Bishop-Yelena duo.
Seeing lots of theories that Kate's mom maybe killed her dad opportunistically during the Chitauri attack. My suspicion isn't that she actively killed him, but that he ended up in peril after the attack (under heavy furniture, hanging off a ledge) and she saw her opportunity and decided not to save him. Hence the silence when Kate ended up looking for her parents and the fact that her mom seemingly knew Dad wasn't coming back so quickly.
I know some folks think the dad is still alive somehow. That could fit with my speculation if Kate's mom intentionally left him for dead (and he knew it, too) but didn't know he survived. FWIW, I think he's actually dead-dead, and we'll get some kind of crazy confession scene/flashback of what happened, but we'll see.
This is probably a trope I donโt know the name of, but Iโve always loved the season 1 villains of a show who are the weakest physically, but make up for it in other ways, like being the best written characters in a show, most charismatic, most nuanced, or something like that. Like Slade from Teen Titanโs, Roman Torchwick from RWBY, or Nox from Wakfu.
Who are the best season 1 villlains?
Iโve been thinking about this since the first episode. Eleanor looks like a great mother, but I have some theories about how she is the real villain:
What you guys think ?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
