There have been rumors of a possible expansion, so let’s imagine it does happen, but the NBA decides to only add one new team to the league (sorry Vegas), bringing back the beloved Seattle Supersonics. The Sonics are back babbyyyyyyyy!

Now the Sonics need to build their team from ground up, starting with the expansion draft, and following it with signing players in the off-season.

Here are some simplified terms of the expansion draft:

1. All 30 NBA teams will have the right to protect 8 players on their roster. Anyone on the current roster is protectable, including restricted free agents. If a restricted free agent is left unprotected by his former team, he is available for selection by the Supersonics, who would then hold his Bird Rights for the up-coming off-season. Teams will typically have 4-7 players unprotected. Unrestricted free agents can neither be protected from nor selected in the expansion draft -- they are essentially ignored.
   Players who are likely to be left unprotected by their former teams include aging, overpaid veterans, unproven bench players, players who do not fit in financially with their team, or who disrupt team chemistry.
2. The Sonics may only select 1 player per team.
3. The Sonics must work within 2/3 of the normal rules of the NBA salary cap, so there will be salary-related restrictions which apply to the team's selections. The team’s salary cap for the 2022-2023 season will only be 2/3 of the league cap (112.414 million), meaning 74.93 million. The minimum team salary is also 2/3 of the leagues' minimum team salary (101.173 million), meaning 67.449 million.
   The expansion draft occurs after the conclusion of the 2022 NBA Finals, but prior to the 2022 NBA Draft. The Sonics do not participate in the lottery, but automatically get the 5th and the 35th pick of the draft.
4. There are no restrictions on player positions during the draft.
5. The Sonics must select at least 14 players.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Omen of Storms initial UL Meta report! JCG doesn’t have any Unlimited tournaments in January so we’re out of luck there, but there should be enough experimentation from winstreaking players and youtubers. This report was made by looking at the tierlists of sites like Gamewith and Shadowverse-Unlimited, lists posted on Twitter and Shadowverse-Wins, discussions with the Shadowverse Discord, my own personal experience climbing, and Youtube creators like Loran Cleric and Yoshihara.

Meta Overview

Omen of Storms is upon us, and has actually shaken up the meta quite a bit. The biggest winner, at least this early on, is Atomy Shadow, which received two new playable cards. Atomy is common enough on ladder that Planetary Fracture can actually be a relevant tech choice, which is honestly crazy.

The other deck making waves from new cards is Dirt Rune. Sure, Dirt saw play in the last expansion and was pretty solid, but the new support has turned it into a real meta staple, and is the most common Rune deck right now.

Most other classes only got one or two playable cards, but not enough to really take them over the edge in the same way as Atomy. Dimension Shift and Artifact fall into this category, and are still popular. Wrath Blood remains Urias’ best competitive option, even though it didn’t receive anything. Haven seems underplayed as is now a tradition in month 1, but has a few decks and some interesting surprises to look at.

Omen of Storms has been the worst for Forest by far, as it went from being playable and common to joining Sword and Dragon at the bottom. I’ll investigate the causes for this decline and if there’s any hope for the class below.

Sword and Dragon continue to be…Sword and Dragon. Since the Mistolina & Bayleon nerf, combo sword decks just haven’t been as consistent, and any kind of Rally or Evolve deck tends to be way too slow. Dragon is hindered by Cygames’ incessant pushes to the Buff archetype, which will probably never even scratch tier 3 in UL (and any card powerful enough to prop it up would almost certa

• This Google Sheet contains the data I have used to make this post.
• The numbers are based on each player's 25 most recent tier 1 and 2 pro matches.
• The data has been acquired from OpenDota and datdota.

General Strategy

• Favour players from teams that will play more series. With the new rules, only the highest-scoring series is counted. However, players playing more series are more likely to have a better score.
• Favour players from teams that are expected to win their matches. Core and Mid players score 30–50% more in winning games, and Support players score 10–20% more in winning games.
• Favour players from teams that are expected to play longer matches.
• Favour carry players for the Core slots. This should be the case 99% of the time. Carry players score just as much in losses, as offlane players score in wins.
• Favour hard support players for the Support slots. This primarily hinges on which support places the most observer wards for the team.

Van Gundy mentioned it multiple times on Thursday, but a huge issue is the shooting around JT. Thursday night was a perfect example. Multiple time he broke down the Knicks defense to get someone an open look only to have the miss an uncontested shot. Schröder, Smart and Horford are the biggest offenders averaging a combined 30% from three while each taking around 4.5 attempts each per game. Brown and Pritchard are both down from last year as well, and I cannot find the exact numbers but I believe JB has one of, if not the, worst 3P% in the 4th quarter of anyone in the league with his volume. On the whole they are 11th in 3PA and 23rd in 3P% (only the Thunder and the Mavs shoot more threes at a worse percentage).

Regardless of who they might need give up or be able to keep, I don't see how either of those guys makes them a top 4 Eastern Conference team. The both are having down years, but the asking price sounds like they are still looking an All-NBA return for guys who probably shouldn't even be all-stars this season.

I hope Brad can figure out how to unload Schröder and maybe even Richardson before the trade deadline and give the minutes to Pritchard, Nesmith and Langford. This team at full strength is not doing anything this year, those young guys needs reps to figure what they are (unless the current rotation is a sign that they already feel like they know - and the answer is not NBA rotation players). I would say get rid of Al as well, but unless the start playing Grant at the 5 again (bad idea) who gets those minutes?

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

A lot of the work I am interested to do will be mostly built from scratch by myself, provided there is fair support for numerical types (like complex numbers) and high precision numerical operations (if not, I'll be happy to write those routines as well). Many of my areas of interest are computationally demanding (python codes choke for large enough datasets) but are often parallelizable, and I am looking for guidance on implementing the same. I love math and physics, especially domains that involve rigorous analysis, ranging from physical/mathematic concepts like turbulence, topology, wave optics, electromagnetism and quantum physics to computational concepts like cryptography and information theory. I also love signal processing, especially relating to random and sparse signals. They require a decent amount of precision while simultaneously being fast enough. I wish to be able to run the code on low power and high power manycore or SIMD processors, with the sequential parts being run on a general-purpose processor or highly pipelined FPGA. Energy efficiency is one of my key targets along with speed (many scenarios are energy constrained) even if it requires a longer and customized code. Another area of interest I have, while not my primary goal is to implement redundancy using parallelism (including different compression storage methods: eg RAID). I would like to have some control over the different memory allocations (hierarchies of caches and scratchpad memories) and if possible, some of the caching schemes while still being usable across multiple architectures. If possible, options to optimize for burst and broadcasting, prescence or absence of hardware lockstep, depending upon hardware support (use of switches to do different routines for different hardware when it comes to memory copy and allocation, basically caching). Sorry for the long and open ended question, I realized it would be hard to really come to a decision without getting a holistic picture of the whole domain atleast to a fair level of depth. I am looking for suggestions in both hardware and software for the same.

My primary concern is software - including but not limited to languages, compilers and directives. Being not from a software programming background, I find it hard to search for the proper areas (and keywords). Chapter 1,016: "It's Otama!!".

In the cover, ninja Zoro and ninja cat are hiding in the ceiling and they almost getting pierced by spears from below.

Chapter starts at the “Flower Capital”. We can see that Tengu Hitetsu is walking in the “Fire Festival” with Toko. Hitetsu explains how the “Fire Festival” is held for the dead. Toko asks whether her father is watching the festival too and Hitetsu says yes, Yasuie is watching over them and the future of Wanokuni as well.

Cut to CP0, they are analyzing the battle in Onigashima. Numbers was 24,000 from Kaidou's side Vs. 3,000 from samurai's side, but since the Pleasures and Waiters at the “Main Hall” switched their side, the numbers are now 20,000 warriors in Kaidou's side Vs. 7,000 warriors in samurai's side.

CP0 is surprised that the situation is becoming more and more unpredictable, then they receive information that Momonosuke has fallen off the island. If this information is announced, everything will fall in Kaidou's favor again.

Cut to Bao Huang, she prepares to make another announcement to all Onigashima.

Cut now to Nami, Usopp, Tama group. When the Clima-Tact starts talking, Usopp says maybe he's a genius and designed it this way by accident. Zeus explains that when he and then tip of Clima-Tact were bitten by Hera, his soul was pushed into the Clima-Tact. So now he is reborn in the weapon and the Clima-Tact can talk and change its shape by itself.

They finally reach the balcony at the Main Stage and see Bao Huang about to make the announcement. But suddenly, Usopp is knocked down by Ulti, who has been following them. Ulti catches Tama in her hand.

Nami attacks Ulti. Suddenly her Clima-Tact changes shape into spiked ball and hits Ulti's head. Zeus explains that Ulti's skin may be tough but her insides is in bad shape because of Big Mom's attack. If they manage to hit her with Big Mom's "Raitei" (Thunder) one more time, it should be enough to finish Ulti off.

General Strategy

• Favour players from teams that will play more series. With the new rules, only the highest-scoring series is counted. However, players playing more series are more likely to have a better score.
• Favour players from teams that are expected to win their matches. Core and Mid players score 30–50% more in winning games, and Support players score 10–20% more in winning games.
• Favour players from teams that are expected to play longer matches.
• Favour carry players for the Core slots. This should be the case 99% of the time. Carry players score just as much in losses, as offlane players score in wins.
• Favour hard support players for the Support slots. This primarily hinges on which support places the most observer wards for the team.

I think at this point we have enough TI10 data (163 games) to do away with the pre-TI10 data completely.

Recall that in a bo3, only the top 2 games are counted for fantasy points. As such, the average fantasy points earned no longer gives you the complete picture—you need to favour players with a higher variability in their fantasy point earnings, if you expect the series to go to 3 games. This is where the "Avg. Bo3" column comes in handy. It was calculated by:
